This fonds consists of ledgers, day books and other record books, mostly unidentified as to exact name and location of the business. All were situated in the Peterborough/Cobourg/Norwood/Marmora area.

Fonds consists primarily of research material for the book, Cornwall Electric: 100 Years of Service, published in 1987 by Karen Carter-Edwards. The records focus on Cornwall and the history and development of Cornwall Electric; they also cover broader issues such as the development of public education in Ontario, municipal ownership of public utilities, and the development of provincial policies related to public health in the areas of sanitation and fluoridation.

This fonds consists of a copy of an address called "World Leadership in Business", given by Anthony Cekota to the Foreign Trade Club of Detroit on January 21, 1954. Also included are two pieces of correspondence concerning a visit Cekota made to Trent University and the donation of the above paper to Trent University Archives.

This photograph includes portraits of 66 male graduates and 62 female graduates of the 1912-13 Peterborough Business College graduating class. Also included in the photograph are portraits of six instructors and administrators.

This fonds consists of glass slides which were used as teaching materials at Mount St. Joseph. The subjects include Tennyson: Idylls of the King, 55 slides; physiography, 15 slides; zoology, 5 slides; physics, 4 slides; English and history, 7 slides; and, European history, 6 slides. Ten of the slides in physiography, 2 slides in botany and 1 slide in chemistry were made by high school students in Lindsay.

This fonds consists of materials relating to journal articles; research materials and correspondence relating to Ontario History.

This fonds consists of two "Counting Copy Books" which set down the basic rules of arithmetic and provide examples for solving, including reduction, the rule of three, compound interest, rebate or discount, equation of payments, barter, and profit and loss. Under "Reduction" can be found listings of units of: Avoir dupois Weight, Troy Weight, Time, Cloth Measure, Long Measure, Apothecary's Weight, Dry Measure,Winchester Measure, and Wine Measure. Some references in the back of Robert Willan's book record payments for shearing in 1819 and1820. An inscription on Robert's book reads "Wm. Marshall, Aughton near Lancaster" [teacher?]. Another inscription on the last page of Edwards book reads "Thomas M. Willan, South Monaghan." A loose slip of paper in Edward's book reads "Robert Willan, Challan Hall, Febery 14, 1819."

This fonds consists of correspondence, conference manuals and minutes of the Association of Canadian Universities for Northern Studies.

The collection contains material related to political movements and student and faculty activism in the late 1960s and 1970s. In particular, it includes records documenting the 1967 dismissal of five Simon Fraser University teacher's assistants and the resignation of Professor T.B. Bottomor as the Dean of Arts. In addition, it includes C.A.U.T.’s censure of Simon Fraser University's in 1968, 1971 and 1974. Records relating to these matters at SFU include newsprint articles, posters, official documents and statements.

The collection also includes records documenting The Old Mole, a student Marxist organization at the University of Toronto in the 1970s. Records include the group's mission statements, newsletters, reports, meeting minutes and proposals.

Lastly, the collection includes documentation of the Waffle (Movement for an Independent Socialist Canada), a far-left subgroup of the New Democratic Party of Canada. The documents are primarily from 1970-1972. Records include manifestos, political strategies, reports and proposals, meeting agendas and minutes, letters to waffle members, news clippings and public education material.

This addition to the fonds consists of the following series: Personal Papers which includes family and personal correspondence, material from Scott Young's Moscow trip, correspondence and a certificate from Trent University, Dine with the Stars Celebrity Dinner, Scott Young Public School, Dublin Arrangements and Income Tax Returns; Professional Activities which includes papers and correspondence from Interviews and Lectures, Personal Background, Hockey Hall of Fame, Canada Council as well as Reviews; Correspondence with Agency and Publishers; Published and Unpublished Works; and Miscellaneous.

Fonds includes reports and photographs pertaining to Susan Neale’s archaeological studies and career in the field of archaeology. The materials focus on Ontario, Nunavut, and England and include photographs and slides taken by Neale of Hambledon Hill, Edmund Point, Nettilling Lake, and Roche Bay. Many of the Roche Bay photographs are of lithics analyzed by Neale for her Trent University Master’s thesis. Also included in the fonds are personal, academic, and family records.

This fonds consists of documents and correspondence relating to the presentation of Trent University honorary degrees to Dr. J. Harry Ebbs and Mary Northway. The fonds also contains documents relating to Mary's death and her bequest of two million dollars to Trent University, various documents relating to Ontario camps and to the Brora Centre, and miscellaneous photographs.

File consists of a notebook titled "Peterborough Normal School: agricultural note book" kept by Eva Jean Murphy; a Peterborough Normal School souvenir book (1927-1928); two issues of "The School" (Ontario College of Education, University of Toronto: Nov. 1927 No.3 Vol. XVI, and February 1928 No.6 Vol. XVI); Ontario Department of Education, Courses of Study and Examinations, revised 1924; and Ontario Department of Education, Courses of Study of the Normal Schools of Ontario... 1924.

Collection includes Peterborough Teachers College material pertaining to the school experience of Iris E. King (later Mrs. Dean Baker). File includes correspondence, brochures, class members list, a school crest drawing, newspaper clippings (1956-1957), and 40th anniversary reunion materials (1997).

Fonds consists of documents from Professor Jennifer Brown’s experience participating in an archaeological dig at the Serpent Mounds and her relationship to Professor Kenneth and Martha Kidd.

This addition to the fonds consists of articles and booklets written by Frank Morris; manuscripts and published articles by Douglas Sadler; correspondence, minutes of meetings relating to Sadler's involvement in environmental and naturalist issues and activities; correspondence relating to Teacher's College and several issues of the Young Naturalist. Fonds consists of records documenting Peter Gzowski’s professional activities as the host of CBC’s Morningside (predominant 1997) as well as his annual charity golf tournament, the Peter Gzowski Invitational (PGI) (1986-2010). Gzowski’s personal life and education is also documented, as well as Gzowski family history from 1813-2002.

Professional activities documented include researching and producing Morningside and ongoing work related to other CBC programming. Correspondence includes listener letters and internal communications within CBC. Research and production material include show notes, logs, drafts, scripts, and handwritten notes. PGI material includes copies of poems from PGI events, photographs, ads and programs, and limited correspondence.

Personal activities documented include Gzowski’s undergraduate studies, honours and awards received throughout his schooling and professional life, projects such as research into Stephen Leacock, and Gzowski’s death in 2002. Material documenting Gzowski’s undergraduate studies include photographs and course essays. Awards include The Canadian Journalism Foundation lifetime achievement award and an honourary LL.D. degree from the University of Western Ontario. Research material includes correspondence, drafts, notes, and photocopies of published material. Gzowski’s death is documented through several volumes of memorial books.

Gzowski family history documented include genealogies, education, and personal relationships. The professional life of Peter Gzowski’s paternal great-aunt, Hope Morgan, as a soprano is also documented. Correspondence includes letters from Peter Gzowski’s mother, Margaret Young, to her own parents; letters between Gzowski’s paternal grandparents, Vera Gzowski and Harold N. Gzowski; and letters between his father, Harold E. Gzowski and his paternal grandparents. Photographs include portraits, some framed, of Gzowski’s paternal relatives. Research material related to Gzowski family history includes correspondence, photographs, and photocopies of published material, especially about Sir Casimir Gzowski, Peter Gzowski’s paternal great-great-grandfather.
