This fonds consists of three notebooks of typewritten notes entitled "Reference Notes on the Cree", and one photograph of P.G. Downes with Richard Finnie. The notebooks contain bibliographic sources, alphabetically arranged, their contents briefly analyzed and evaluated in terms of their usefulness to the study of various facets of Cree society. The notebooks also contain a number of Prentice G. Downes' writings.

Trent University people associated with this effort included Professor F.M. Helleiner, Professor Bruce Hodgins, and Jamie Benedickson.

The collection consists of copies of photographic slides from holdings of the Archives of Ontario relating to Indigenous life in Ontario, North West Territories and Northern Canada.

This fonds consists of: correspondence with Vilhjalmur Stefansson, Clifford Wilson and others relating to Arctic explorations; several photographs including some of the construction of the Peterborough Lift Lock and of downtown Peterborough, Ontario circa 1900; and newspaper clippings of book reviews. Also included are artifacts retrieved by Douglas from the area of Coppermine, NWT.

Fonds consists of notes, manuscripts, papers and articles by Professor Kenneth Kidd; research materials in the form of photographs, maps, and copies of articles and diaries; family correspondence; genealogical information relating to the Kidd and Jebb families, and 2 numbered Fred Saggashi prints.

This addition to the fonds consists of a pen and ink drawing of Conger House and hill, north of George Street in Smith Township, by Edward C. Caddy. The cardboard backing from the original frame has information regarding the sketch and donor.

This collection consists of original and duplicate photographs of Lake Temagami, Camp Wanapitei, Camp Keewaydin, Camp Temagami and Lady Evelyn Lake.

This fonds consists of papers and records forwarded by Trevor Lloyd regarding the North, Arctic North America, Greenland, Rasmusson, the Scandanavian north, the Thule expedition V, Canadian Arctic Sovereignty, Canadian Arctic Defense, Inuit, musk oxen, Mackenzie River and many other articles and photocopied records relating to the north.

File contains images and audiotapes pertaining to the career of James Armstrong, member of the RCMP, while stationed at Alexandria Fjord, Ellesmere Island, Northwest Territories (now Nunavut) between 1958 and 1961. Included are two items created in 2015: one compact disc of 14 audio mp3 files titled “Alexander Fjord” (containing recollections of James Armstrong); and, one flash drive of copies of images taken from 1433 slides of Alexander Fjord (included are images of nine Inuit families of Alexander Fjord that were under the supervision of Armstrong; images of Armstrong himself; northern airplanes; northern scenery, etc.).

Fonds is comprised of approximately 1850 slides taken by M. Margaret (Marnie) McCulloch pertaining to the Northwest Territories/Arctic region, western and eastern Canada, U.S.A. (particularly California), Australia, England, Peterborough, etc. Also included are miscellaneous photographs and textual items written about McCulloch by various people.

Fonds consists of travel brochures, postcards, correspondence, publications, photographs, and journals that document the Marnie McCulloch’s travel throughout Canada and Greenland. She visited Australia, British Columbia, Northern Manitoba, Hudson’s Bay, Greenland, the Northwest Territories, and Yellowknife . Fonds includes brochures, travel journals, newspaper clippings, postcards, and pamphlets about Inuit, Aboriginal Australian, and Haida art, which she collected in her travels.

Fonds also include essays written by Marnie McCulloch on the topics of her travels, Northern Canada, Northwest Coast First Nations, and other topics.

Collection is comprised of approximately 4200 slides of photographs pertaining primarily to the Canadian and Greenland Arctic. The photographs were taken during the 1970s to 1990s by Roger Buxton and are identified and dated. Also included are aerial views of Trent University (14 September 1985), photographs of the aftermath of the Barrie, Ontario tornado (31 May 1985), and photographs of family and scenic landscapes.

Fonds consists of research notes, maps, photographs, slides, trip diaries and a draft manuscript relating to the 1990 publication "A Walk on the Canol Road: Exploring the First Major Northern Pipeline" by S.R. (Sandy) Gage. A copy of this book is included in the fonds.

This fonds consists of a summer journal written by Shirley Quan who spent a summer at Baker Lake in the Northwest Territories as a volunteer. A copy of her Pressed Arctic Flower project is included.

This addition to the fonds consists of the records of the Canadian Association in Support of Native Peoples arranged in five series : National Office, Toronto 1959-1973; Library and Information Centre 1972-1975; Western Regional Office, Edmonton, 1966-1972; Northwest Territories Regional Office, Yellowknife, 1967-1970; Ontario Native Development Fund, 1968-1971. The fonds includes correspondence, reports, minutes, financial statements, memorandum, and photographs.

This collection consists of photographs relating to Indigenous peoples and their activities, mostly throughout Canada. The photographs portray extensively the lives of Indigenous people who lived in Canada during the 1800's and early 1900's. Most of the photographs are copies of other photographs but several are copies of sketches and paintings done in the late 1600's to the mid 1800's. Each photograph is labelled with a title and a place of origin.
