This fonds consists of photocopies of the letters of probate of Last Will and Testament of Zaccheus Burnham including a copy of the will dated June 12, 1856 and codicils to the will dated 1856 and 1857. Also included is a probate of the will dated March 14, 1857. There is certification by W.F. Johnston, notary public, Peterborough, that the foregoing papers are a true copy of the Letters Probate of Zaccheus Burnham dated May 6, 1889.

This item is a pencil sketch of Young's Point. On the paper backing of the frame which has been removed the following is written: "Young's Point - Edward Roper c 1882? from his sketchbook, donated by Gordon Roper. Young's Point (north of Peterborough) from Edward Roper's sketch book, 1882, bought through Michael Bell". There is some speculation as to whether the name Edward Roper should have been Edward Caddy.

This item is book of minutes of the annual meetings and minutes of the directors' meetings of the Young's Point Cheese Factory Company.

Also included are two posters and a calendar.

Item is a letter dated 22 October 1853 from William Morrison, Placer County, California, to his brother, James Morrison, of Dummer Township, Ontario. The letter is written in a black paper covered booklet dated 1851 with the title "Gregory's Express Pocket Letter Book."

This item is a notebook written by William Howden and kept between 1860 and 1903 on the subject of animal husbandry. It contains various recipes for horse medicine and newspaper articles on stallions available for stud.

Collection consists of research material documenting the life of William Horsley and his family, from Murray Township, Northumberland County. The research was conducted by Susan Butler, a professional genealogist, for a descendent of the Horsley family, Yvonne A. Green.

This item is a letter from William Seward, in New York State, to his aunt.

This fonds consists of three letters, two of which were written to William Hamilton Munro and Mrs. Angela Munro by Bessie [?] of Ottawa, Ontario commenting on the 1958 gas explosion in Ottawa, the Peace River Project and W.A.C. Bennett. The third letter is a carbon copy of a letter sent to Mr. Franklin R. Little, Editor of the Northern New York Publishing Company from Robert Moses, Chairman of the Power Authority of the State of New York. It is in reference to an article published by Mr. Little titled "Underground Leak at Power Pool Feared Threat to Seaway Hydro Energy." A carbon copy typescript of the article is included with the letter.

This fonds consists of a bibliography of William Breyfogle's works and a biography. Also included is a photograph of Breyfogle which was taken by Roy Photo Studio, Peterborough in November, 1938. The covering letter from Velma McWilliams who compiled the bibliography is included as well.

This fonds consists of two "Counting Copy Books" which set down the basic rules of arithmetic and provide examples for solving, including reduction, the rule of three, compound interest, rebate or discount, equation of payments, barter, and profit and loss. Under "Reduction" can be found listings of units of: Avoir dupois Weight, Troy Weight, Time, Cloth Measure, Long Measure, Apothecary's Weight, Dry Measure,Winchester Measure, and Wine Measure. Some references in the back of Robert Willan's book record payments for shearing in 1819 and1820. An inscription on Robert's book reads "Wm. Marshall, Aughton near Lancaster" [teacher?]. Another inscription on the last page of Edwards book reads "Thomas M. Willan, South Monaghan." A loose slip of paper in Edward's book reads "Robert Willan, Challan Hall, Febery 14, 1819."
