            This fonds consists of the family and personal papers of William Hamilton Munro, his brothers Reid and Alan and his sister Effie. The materials in the fonds make reference to World War I; Peterborough County; hydro-electric companies in Canada and the third world; photographs, postcards, maps and plans of the Trent Canal; City of Peterborough; and locations in Bolivia, Europe and North America.

            This item is a Chas. E. Goad Company fire insurance plan of the City of Peterborough, Ontario revised in 1911 from a plan of 1904, surveyed December 1893. It includes a key plan (scale 500':01"), a key to symbols, an index, and special diagrams of major buildings such as factories and schools.

            This addition to the fonds consists of interviews with prominent NDP and labour activists recalling the 1960 by-election in Peterborough, and the early history of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) and the New Democratic Party (NDP) in the riding.             Fonds consists of 7 watercolours done by Edward C. Caddy. Likely locale of some of the paintings was supplied by Professor Gordon Roper; these locations include Scotland (2), Gull Lake, Stoney Lake, Lake Superior. Two have no indication of location. Also included is a two section map showing Herriots Mill near Kitchiwannoe Lake, and a map (mockup) of Peterborough, Ontario entitled "Location of Built Heritage (demolished and standing) in relation to the MNR building site", 1995.

            This fonds consists of records from the law firm and practice of Hall, Gillespie, from its beginnings with Robert Dennistoun, to its termination with John Gillespie. This fonds consists of land search books, case files, estate records from probates of wills and succession of duty papers to surety bonds, and lists of assets and debts. It also consists of correspondence, the firm's written history, maps, deeds and associated papers, mortgages, debentures, bills of sale and other legal records. The records in this fonds deal primarily with people and places in the City and County of Peterborough as well as its surrounding area.

            Fonds consists of correspondence, journals, and newspaper clippings related to the family of Thomas Alexander Stewart and Frances Stewart. Many papers originate from the family of their son, Henry Louis Stewart. Also included is one photograph, a sketch of Auburn, the family homestead, and a hand-drawn map.

            This fonds consists of original, print and photocopied records compiled by Doug Sadler, as a member of the Citizens' Advisory Group, relating to the proposed highway #28 by-pass around Peterborough, Ontario. Included in the fonds are correspondence, minutes, petitions, feasibility studies, reports, maps and plans. The proposed construction of the by-pass was highly controversial and these records illustrate the interaction between modern government and its machinery and concerned local citizens' groups.
