The fonds consists of assorted documents related to Peterborough County, and the surrounding area. It includes: By-laws of North and South Monaghan townships, broadsides (sale of lands for taxes), numerous newspaper advertisements (commercial and political) and assorted postcards depicting area scenery. Also included are two photographs, one of Hon. Zaccheus Burnham, and the other, of Rev. Mark Burnham.

Fonds consists of correspondence, tax receipts, pamphlets, and invitations found in a home purchased by Martha Hendriks in 2001. The home is located at 1202 Morton Line, Cavan, Ontario and was owned previously by a farmer named Daniel Nill (1915-[1985]). Included are letters written by Frances [ ], New York, to Daniel Nill between 1933 and 1940. Also included are letters, agreements, pamphlets, etc. associated with John Mason, William Mason, Orlie Mason, and G.A. Mason. These items are dated between 1886 and 1915.

This fonds is a small collection of historical information on the people, places, mills, organizations in Cavan Township and the Village of Millbrook. Included are reminiscences from pioneer descendants, essays on the Cavan Blazers (an Orange vigilante group), early mills, prominent pioneer citizens and local legends.

Fonds consists of original letters, certificates, sketches and maps pertaining to the family of Thomas Alexander Stewart and Frances Stewart of Peterborough, Ontario and their descendents. Included are letters to Ellen Dunlop written by Frances Stewart, Catharine Parr Traill, Harriet Beaufort, and others. Also included are pieces of sheet music and music certificates of Alice Roger Collins; medical certificates of Doctor Thomas Hay; newspaper clippings related to Katherine E. Wallis; and a scrapbook of nineteenth-century ferns and mosses of the United Kingdom.

Fonds pertains to the Cairnduff family and McWilliams family of Nogie’s Creek, Ontario. Items include two photo albums, two Bibles, and a handwritten music book for violin. Also included are two envelopes, one containing postcards pertaining to Buckhorn and the surrounding area with postmarks dating from 1907 to 1949, collected by Clayton Grant, the other containing a newspaper clipping, photograph, and colour scripture book. This fonds consists of ledgers, day books and other record books, mostly unidentified as to exact name and location of the business. All were situated in the Peterborough/Cobourg/Norwood/Marmora area.

The fonds consists mostly of Helen Marryat's (nee Helen Fowlds) personal experiences as a nurse in World War I, and her activities as a local historian. There are clippings of her articles in local newspapers, historical maps (drawn by Gerald Marryat) and other materials relating to settlement of Hastings and district such as education and nursing. Also included are the correspondence and photograph collections of her brothers, Donald and Eric (mostly from World War I), and material on Frederick Marryat (1792-1848), navy captain and novelist. This collection consists of records collected by G. Wilson Craw such as school histories, Peterborough County; Barnardo's Canadian Homes Almanac 1901; a list of Peterborough Utilities Commissioners 1902-1965; biographies of Peterborough residents; deeds and mortgages; North Monaghan voters list 1883-4; 76 photographs of industries, schools and churches and sporting groups, as well as a history of Springfield, North Monaghan.

This collection consists of miscellaneous ledgers and legal documents of businesses, doctors, etc. in Peterborough, surrounding counties and areas in southern Ontario.

This fonds consists of four photographs, two of which are copies of photographs found in the Geale-Rogers Papers (82-022). One of these two is a duplicate of photo #400, Box 14, and is of Calcutt House, Peterborough. A negative is attached. The other is a duplicate of photo #27 of Album #6, Box 15, and is of a cottage on Little Otter Island, Stoney Lake, Ontario. A negative is attached. The other two photographs are of the Canadian General Electric Company building, Peterborough. One is an exterior shot and the other an interior. Also included is a negative of photo #48, Box 1 Folder 4 of The Peterborough City Photograph Collection (83-008), and is of the Salvation Army Barracks, Peterborough. None of the photographs and negatives are dated. Also included is a photocopy of a map of Stoney Lake, with Little Otter Island highlighted.

Collection consists of correspondence, surveys, notes, plans, and maps of Peterborough area surveyors John Huston, John Reid, Alfred J. Cameron, and John W. Pierce. Also included are speeches, newspaper clippings, biographical accounts of various local surveyors, miscellaneous published items re Peterborough, and documents and photographs relating to Pierce's survey of the Ontario-Manitoba border in 1921.
