The bulk of the fonds consists of correspondence, reports, minutes and photographs created by CASNP and its members and associated agencies. Also included are contracts, correspondence, notes, and memos relating to Peter Gzowski's career with CBC; records relating to Gzowski's association with the "Peter Gzowski Invitational Golf for Literacy" tournament; Gzowski's association with Ridley College, and Trent University (Margaret Laurence tribute, Timothy Findley conference, chancellorship); and greeting cards, personal calendars, photographs, family genealogical information, and correspondence relating to awards received. The fonds also includes correspondence, partial manuscripts, and notes relating to various books which Gzowski has written.

The fonds consists of the diaries of Harriet Pengelley (1835-1836), Robert Pengelley (1835), and A.E. Marguerite (Rita) Pengelley (1940-1941); correspondence; sketchbooks (1829-1830); drawings; and photographs. In 1994, an addition was made to the fonds which included a photocopy of a diary of Robert Pengelley (1837-1840) and textual records regarding the Pengelley family. In 2018, an addition of Pengelley family genealogical information was received.

This addition to the fonds consists of a pen and ink drawing of Conger House and hill, north of George Street in Smith Township, by Edward C. Caddy. The cardboard backing from the original frame has information regarding the sketch and donor.

This fonds consists of 8 original pencil drawings, signed M. Smithson. The drawings are of fruits, Roman and castle ruins as well as pastoral scenes.

This item is a pencil sketch of Young's Point. On the paper backing of the frame which has been removed the following is written: "Young's Point - Edward Roper c 1882? from his sketchbook, donated by Gordon Roper. Young's Point (north of Peterborough) from Edward Roper's sketch book, 1882, bought through Michael Bell". There is some speculation as to whether the name Edward Roper should have been Edward Caddy.
