Series consists of documents pertaining to the publication of Thomas Need: a settler in the backwoods of Upper Canada, including publisher letters, correspondence, publication invoices, and photographs used in the book. Series also consists of research materials on Thomas Need. These materials were used to write articles about him in different publications including the Kawartha Sun newspaper and the Dictionary of Canadian biography. These files include photocopied book excerpts from different publications, the will of Elizabeth Welfitt, and photocopied historical correspondence.

Also included are some handwritten notes by [Stinson?]; a small collection of ephemera and photographs; an undated and unsigned paper titled "The Struggle for Liberty Under the Stuarts;" and two pads of House of Commons letterhead. The series also contains a teaching notebook from Ella Stinson (nee Robson).

Included are pamphlets, photographs, and postcards documenting the 1913 Christian North American Tour, in which the Stinsons participated; records documenting Stinson's legal and political career include law school notebooks (1904-1910). Also included is a scrapbook regarding the 1921 election; campaign files and notes from the 1930 general election; newspaper clippings regarding the depression and the Bennett government, memoranda, correspondence regarding the riding organization (1933-1935); records relating to the Conservative Party Caucus Study club; correspondence regarding the 1935 election; and House of Commons materials. This series also contains correspondence, bills, a scrapbook, and other material from Ella Stinson (nee Robson) relating to the Independent Order, Daughters of the Empire (IODE) (1918-1923).

Series consists of copies of Echoes, a publication produced at Peterborough Collegiate and Vocational Institute. Early editions were published monthly by various groups, including the Philomathean Society and the Literary Society. Later volumes are published yearly and function as yearbooks. 1977 was the sesquicentennial of P.C.V.I. and the yearbook for this year has a full history of the school included.
