File consists of five shop steward's manuals. Included are three copies of "A handbook for shop stewards, shop chairmen, grievance committeemen, collectors, local officers and others concerned with the welfare of the local union" by the Research Department of the Canadian Congress of Labour in Ottawa, Canada ([1949?]). Also included is one copy of a steward's manual by the International Association of Machinists (1948) and one by the Communications Workers of America (after 1947).

This collection consists of 278 slides taken by Rosemary McConkey during her work as a nutritionist in Malaya (1962) and in Nigeria (1965). McConkey was part of a team of medical personnel and scientists from the University of Ohio who undertook surveys of nutritional needs in these two areas. McConkey has supplied a detailed listing of the slides (below) and has also included a 45 r.p.m. recording of the national anthem of Malaya "Negara Ku,", six books relating to the two areas and a map of Malaya.
