Collection consists of slides of Trent University. Most series include slides created for promotional presentations for Trent University. Slides document construction, buildings, campus scenery, special events, faculty and students, classrooms, and more.
Fonds consists of records from the Trent University Athletic Centre, documenting the department's development, its facilities and program offerings, and varsity and intramural sports. Fonds includes records from Paul S.B. Wilson throughout his time as Director (1966-2002). Fonds also consists of records about the growth and development of the Athletics Department including architectural briefs, reports, correspondence, promotional materials, photographs, and slides. There are also many photographs, scrapbooks, and CD’s containing records about intramural, varsity, and community sports. The sports documented include synchronized swimming, rowing, volleyball, basketball, swimming, hockey, squash, soccer, rugby, curling, field hockey, fencing, cycling, and karate. Also included are Michael Treadwell's correspondence and brochures of various racing sailboats, and material gathered from other universities' athletics programs.

File consists of Drew's remarks at Trent convocation when he received Honorary degree in 1991; cards and notes; conversations about writers and writing and publishing woes; obituaries and memorial remembrance of Drew. Includes two photographs of Drew.
Drew, WaylandThis fonds consists mostly of correspondence between Mary Northway and Professors John Wadland and Alan Wilson, and relates primarily to the Brora Centre, Neathern Trust, and Windy Pine. Also included is an 8 mm film of Windy Pine (3 minutes, silent, colour), featuring Flora Morrison and her dog Charlie at Driftwood cabin, Windy Pines in the 1970s (also copied on DVD), and 2 photographs, one of which is of Mary Northway.

The fonds also contains documents relating to Mary's death and her bequest of two million dollars to Trent University, various documents relating to Ontario camps and to the Brora Centre, and miscellaneous photographs.
Ebbs, AdeleThis addition to the fonds consists of correspondence (mostly between 1960 and 1990), photocopies of articles by various authors, manuscripts of anthropological subjects by Professor Kidd and some of his personal papers.
Kidd, Kenneth E.This addition to the fonds consists of personal and career-related materials of Mary L. Northway such as cassettes with interviews, family wills, photographs and slides, an honorary doctorate from Trent University, correspondence and documents regarding the transfer of deed of Windy Pine property to Trent University, materials relating to camping and to Nominigan as well as copies of Mary Northway's publications. There are also business-related photographs, correspondence, etc. of John Northway, Mary Northway's grandfather. One file of papers regarding the Neathern Trust was added in 1992.
Northway familyThis fonds consists of correspondence, research notes and original documents which were collected by Professor David Macmillan during his research. Items such as voters' lists for Victoria County, Ontario and a series of broadsides advertising land in Victoria County; documents from the Hudson's Bay Company, East Indies; minutes from the Barbados Board of Legislative Council, a Sydney Australia Company, and the Sydney Australian Committee of the New Steam Company; and a number of reproduction engravings and prints are included in the fonds. Also included in the fonds is a copy of Macmillan's 1964 Ph.D. thesis: "The Scottish Australian Connection..." and assorted pamphlets relating to New South Wales.
Macmillan, DavidThis fonds consists of publicity records from the Canadian Images film festival held at Trent University between 1978 and 1984. As well, there are memos, minutes, correspondence and business papers donated by T.H.B. Symons, from his tenure as honorary board member of Canadian Images.
Canadian ImagesThis fonds consists of the "2001: Coming of Age in Canada" Conference materials. This fonds has various notes, documents and correspondence as well as reports and audio cassettes. Also included are documents and correspondence regarding the Retired Citizens in Residence Program at Trent, 1973-1978.
2001: Coming of Age in Canada ConferenceThis fonds consists of photocopies of the Ernest Thompson Seton papers from the American Museum of Natural History, New York, and the Seton Museum, New Mexico. Also included are photocopies of articles about Seton and research notes for Professor John Wadland's thesis "Ernest Thompson Seton: Man in Nature and the Progressive Era, 1880-1915." Also contained within the fonds are original records and brochures, photographs, and slides.
Wadland, JohnFonds consists of material relating to the research and initiatives the Trent-Fleming Trail Studies Unit engaged in. Files include correspondence, reports, research material, pamphlets, brochures, conference materials, and other materials. Photographs document the Northumberland Forest trails. CD-ROMS documents project reports. VHS tape documents the television coverage of the Rails to Greenways Conference (1993). Trent-Fleming Trail Studies UnitFonds consists of material relating to the administration and programming of the INSTRUCT Programme. Files includes reports, journal articles, event flyers, pamphlets, correspondence, newsletters, budget reports, research material, and other documentation detailing the Programme in both English and Spanish. Photographs and slides include images of meetings, travel, seminars and work done with local communities in Ecuador and Mexico and at Trent University. VHS tapes includes a recording of the “Questioning” Conference panel, the conservation of the Imbkucha and Lago san Pablo watershed, and on the festival of Inti Raymi. CD-ROMs include photos of an INSTRUCT workshop on women and environment and another on local traditions.
INSTRUCT ProgrammeFonds includes personal and professional correspondence, press clippings, descriptions of benchmark occasions, and award certificates from Storey’s Trent University career, including The Canadian Council for the Advancement of Education Communication Award (1986), the Big Brothers and Big Sisters National Commendation Award (2000), and the Trent University Eminent Service Award (2011). There is also a large photograph album highlighting the 40 years that Tony spent at Trent University. Also included are 12 individual photographs of Storey, including headshots, 1 photo of Storey receiving the Big Brothers and Big Sisters National Commendation Award, and several group photos with unidentified individuals. Additionally, there is professional correspondence related to university matters, alumni associations and events, and the establishment of the Alumni House in Champlain College. There is also personal correspondence between alumni associations, colleagues, and friends, including thank-you cards, e-mails, greeting cards, and event invitations.
Storey, TonyFonds includes photographs and textual records about the student life of Brenda Brownlee, Class of 1966, at Trent University. Folders include admission letters and correspondence from Trent university and the University of Toronto, convocation programs (1969, 1970), and Brownlee’s academic records. Also included are production programs for “Gilbert and Sullivan,” “Patience,” and “The Mikado,” along with 13 small black and white photographs of the rehearsal of The Mikado (1970). There are also 3 larger black and white photos of the Champlain College exterior buildings. Additionally included is a booklet related to the Trent Development Fund, titled “An Individual Experience,” which contains several black and white photos of Trent University campus, and additional information.
Brownlee, BrendaFonds is comprised of research and exhibit materials related to Glenn Madill. Included are some of Glenn Madill’s employment records, correspondence between Marisa Scigliano and archival repositories, photocopies of articles, personal notes, maps, posters, etc. Included are photographs forming the ‘Moccasin Madness’ and ‘Magnetic Moccasins’ parts of Scigliano’s ‘Moccasin Mania’ exhibit: approximately 33 enlarged mounted colour photographs taken by Scigliano on the Symons Campus, Trent University, in the fall of 2013; 16 enlarged black and white photographs taken by Madill in the 1920s during his northern expeditions (images found through research at the National Research Council).
Scigliano, MarisaFonds is comprised of personal and professional correspondence, newspaper clippings, honorary degrees and other documents pertaining to the life and career of Thomas H.B Symons. The newspaper clippings are on the subject of French as a second language in Ontario schools, the Sturgeon Falls School Crisis (1971), and the Ministerial Commission on French Language Secondary Education. Some of the correspondence and other documents pertain to the Mulholland Family (1961-1965).
Symons, Thomas H.B.This fonds consists of research in the 19th and 20th century Canadian historical geography, specifically emigration and settlement from British Isles to Upper Canada, the Trent Canal use during WWII, the environmental and cultural consequences of flooding from the Trent Canal dam in the late 19th century, and research on Bon Echo, Algonquin, and Banff National Parks. Research is also included on European migration and land settlement patterns and processes in Cape Province, South Africa in the early 19th century and in Western Australia in the early 20th century. Included in the research materials are several maps, a small collection of photo negatives, and microfilm reels.
Brunger, AlanFonds is comprised of audio tapes, scrapbooks and photographs related to Betty Lynn Viney’s experience as a student at Trent University from 1965 to 1969.
Schwab, Betty LynnFonds includes reports and photographs pertaining to Susan Neale’s archaeological studies and career in the field of archaeology. The materials focus on Ontario, Nunavut, and England and include photographs and slides taken by Neale of Hambledon Hill, Edmund Point, Nettilling Lake, and Roche Bay. Many of the Roche Bay photographs are of lithics analyzed by Neale for her Trent University Master’s thesis. Also included in the fonds are personal, academic, and family records.
