Also included are research materials, offprints of published articles, correspondence with publishers, personal correspondence, lecture notes relating to Professor Burbidge's teaching career at Trent University, and congratulatory letters and cards relating to his retirement from Trent University and election to the Royal Society of Canada.

This fonds consists of publications, photographs, news clippings, bulletins and reports pertaining to Reverend Elgie E.M. Joblin's interest in Indigenous affairs and in particular, the education of Indigenous peoples in Canada. Included in the fonds are references to the Canadian Association in Support of Native Peoples, the Indian-Eskimo Association, copies of Indian News and a Cree hymn book. Also included in the fonds are 14 scrapbooks of clippings on native issues.

The fonds consists of photocopies and typescripts of correspondence and journals of Reverend Robert Brooking and his wife Elizabeth relating to his service as a missionary in Africa, in Canada West and in the Hudson's Bay Territory. Also included are reports of the Wesleyan Missionary Society, 1851-1857. Some of the items relate to the Hiawatha and Rama Reserves, and Norway House. The original records date from 1839 to 1879. Also included is a modern print of a photograph of Rev Robert Brooking [ca. 1890] and 3 photographs of Elizabeth's tombstone at Chief Island, Lake Couchiching, Rama Reserve, near Orillia.

The fonds consists of typescript copies of letters patent and correspondence, from 1797 to 1855, relating to Bishop Jacob Mountain, first Anglican bishop of Quebec and to George Jehoshaphat Mountain, third Anglican bishop of Quebec, as well as to various Church matters. The fonds also includes notes taken from reports of The Society for the Propagation of the Gospel, from Letters Patent and from correspondence relating to Clergy Reserves and other topics.

Folder 1: Typed copies of Letter Patent and correspondence 1979-1855. The Letters Patent deal with various appointments of members of the Mountain Family; authorization to build a rectory; grants of land for building of churches. The correspondence is chiefly that of George Jehoshaphat Mountain, although some relates to his uncle, Jehoshaphat Mountain. Topic include appointments of various posts, petitions of widows of officers asking for help in claiming pensions, estimates of amounts for the payment of salaries of the Clergy, various other topics relating to the church.

Stewart and his family, and the Rebellion of 1837. The records cover the period between April 1831 and November 1851.

Helen Marryat fonds

The fonds consists mostly of Helen Marryat's (nee Helen Fowlds) personal experiences as a nurse in World War I, and her activities as a local historian. There are clippings of her articles in local newspapers, historical maps (drawn by Gerald Marryat) and other materials relating to settlement of Hastings and district such as education and nursing. Also included are the correspondence and photograph collections of her brothers, Donald and Eric (mostly from World War I), and material on Frederick Marryat (1792-1848), navy captain and novelist. In December 2001, Trent University Archives launched an online exhibit which depicts Helen Fowld's experiences in World War I. This fonds consists of Mary Ollerhead's notebook with teaching notes. At the back of the book are notes pertaining to her estate after she died. There are a number of notes that Mary wrote pertaining to her estate and funeral arrangements. A carbon copy relating to her will and some sympathy cards are also included. There is a collection of bank books from 1937 to 1953 included in the fonds as well as a retirement letter from the Toronto Board of Education and a few other articles of correspondence.
