This collection consists of an eclectic assortment of documents and papers pertaining to many parts of Canada including 3 documents prepared by Powadiuk for the government, 2 of which concern native peoples; 10 prints of 19th century personalities; 1905 map of the Niagara River; papers re Indian-Eskimo Association; deeds, mortgages and trust documents from Huron and Bruce Counties; Niagara peninsula documents including Hugh Alexander's account book; Lord Selkirk letter dated 1837; Charles G.D. Roberts letter dated 1892; notes on the inception of "Evangeline." A major element in the collection relates to Mr. James Ross of East Hawkesbury, stone mason and merchant and his family. The Ross quarry appears to have supplied stone for the Carillon lock and for Fort Henry. The family was involved in the East Hawkesbury school for 2 decades.

This collection consists of a photograph of John R. Marshall, possibly in his late 30s or early 40s, and newspaper clipping memorials to Marshall at the time of his death in April 1952.

This fonds consists of Professor Brunger's research in 19th century Canadian historical geography, mainly in Upper Canada/Ontario, focused on emigration from the U.K. and settlement in Newcastle (Peterborough County) District and London (Talbot Settlement) District. Fonds consists of records documenting the Stinson family, primarily the legal and political career of T.H. Stinson. Family records include Christmas cards, wedding invitations, and family portraits, Mrs. Stinson's correspondence, and travel records (postcards, booklets, photographs) documenting the 1913 Christian North American Tour, in which Mr. and Mrs. Stinson participated. Records documenting T.H. Stinson's legal and political career include law school notebooks (1904-1910), correspondence and a scrapbook regarding the 1921 election, campaign files and notes from the 1930 and 1935 federal elections and Leslie Frost's 1934 provincial campaign, material from the Conservative Party Caucus Study club, newspaper clippings regarding the depression and the Bennett government, memoranda, correspondence regarding the riding organization (1933-1935); and House of Commons materials. There are postcards which depict scenes of Canada and the United States, from approximately 1920. Included, also, are several local maps, election posters (1927), and voter tally boards.

Fonds includes reports and photographs pertaining to Susan Neale’s archaeological studies and career in the field of archaeology. The materials focus on Ontario, Nunavut, and England and include photographs and slides taken by Neale of Hambledon Hill, Edmund Point, Nettilling Lake, and Roche Bay. Many of the Roche Bay photographs are of lithics analyzed by Neale for her Trent University Master’s thesis. Also included in the fonds are personal, academic, and family records.
