The word Turtle was derived from Trent University Research and Teaching Laboratory for Exper­imental Work. The materials cover the years 1968-1973.

The papers of Box 1, covering the years 1970-1984, concern more than just Lady Eaton College. Apparently records of the Committee on Undergraduate Standing and Petitions were accumulated in the College and are presented here. Similarly, there are records of the Academic Development Committee as well as Lady Eaton Council and Cabinet minutes and Supervisors of Studies materials. Further boxes were added in later years.
