There are layouts, original artwork and subscriber information for several issues. Conserver Society Notes, which amalgamated with Alternatives, also has material in this collection.

Dating 1979 through 2016, it represents a significant episode in Canadian environment activism and is comprehensive in scope. This is an artificial collection of materials with a variety of provenances, documenting the Trent University Faculty Association (TUFA) strike in 1991, including strike bulletins and information sheets, Communications Office Bulletins, communiques from Students FEAT and A.N.S.W.E.R., Trent Student Union communiques, copies of student papers Arthur and Lilith, OCUFA Forum and CAUT Bulletin, TUFA parity buttons, transcripts of TUFA internal meeting, an untranscribed cassette tape of CBC interviews, 14 tapes of radio broadcasts and meetings, and other records. Also included are an oversized poster used on the pickets and a copy of the new three-year collective agreement between TUFA and the Trent University Board of Governors ending the strike.

This fonds consists of the original and collected papers of E.C. Guillet, relating to his works and research on the Trent Valley/Peterborough/Kawartha area. Included is correspondence, primarily with George M. Douglas and Helen Marryat; maps (photocopies); newspaper articles regarding above area; collected manuscripts of historical authors; photographs; and Guillet's own unpublished manuscript of Canadian Literary Pioneers.

Also included are miscellaneous documents regarding the Canadian Federation of Humane Societies and the Humane Killing Trap Development Committee; various certificates and appointments; a Judge Kennedy portrait; a photo of Judge Kennedy and Harry Deyman in the opening ceremonies procession at Trent University; and one photo of a courtroom scene with Judge Kennedy.

Water Lily (of the Calcutt line), one photograph of the fleet of the Stoney Lake Navigation Company of Young's Point, and a clipping which includes a photograph of the Peterborough hydraulic lift lock.

This fonds consists of research materials collected by Professor Ross Irwin for his book on Mariposa Township, Victoria County. Material added August 1992 includes a copy of Mariposa: The Banner Township and a series of 8 scrapbooks created by Mrs. Alex McIntyre of Oakwood, Ontario and donated via Professor Irwin. Additions of 1994 include slides of Lindsay, Ontario and other scenes in Victoria County taken in approximately the 1960s. Additions of 2002 include 2 notebooks of Robert Irwin, Cambray. Additions of 2010 include studio portraits of ancestral family members. Additions of 2012 include items related to the history of the Wakelin family and a scribbler with house-building notes.

This fonds consists of the personal and collected papers of the Honourable Leslie M. Frost, former Premier of Ontario. It contains correspondence; letter books from World War I through his legal and political career to post-retirement phase of public and private directorships; scrapbooks of Leslie Frost and his wife Gertrude; and historical files on various subjects, including the Frost family, the Carew family, various political figures, and Victoria, Peterborough and Haliburton Counties. The fonds is especially valuable for the study of Conservatism and it includes collected campaign material from 1891 to 1971, material on federal and provincial elections, and original and copied historical material on many individuals and events. Also included in the fonds are photographs, miscellaneous graphic materials, and audio visual materials.
