The fonds consists of photocopies and typescripts of correspondence and journals of Reverend Robert Brooking and his wife Elizabeth relating to his service as a missionary in Africa, in Canada West and in the Hudson's Bay Territory. Also included are reports of the Wesleyan Missionary Society, 1851-1857. Some of the items relate to the Hiawatha and Rama Reserves, and Norway House. The original records date from 1839 to 1879. Also included is a modern print of a photograph of Rev Robert Brooking [ca. 1890] and 3 photographs of Elizabeth's tombstone at Chief Island, Lake Couchiching, Rama Reserve, near Orillia.

Folder 1: Typed copies of Letter Patent and correspondence 1979-1855. The Letters Patent deal with various appointments of members of the Mountain Family; authorization to build a rectory; grants of land for building of churches. The correspondence is chiefly that of George Jehoshaphat Mountain, although some relates to his uncle, Jehoshaphat Mountain. Topic include appointments of various posts, petitions of widows of officers asking for help in claiming pensions, estimates of amounts for the payment of salaries of the Clergy, various other topics relating to the church.

Shining Waters Presbyterial United Church WomenThis addition to the fonds consists of records from the Canadian Forum magazine primarily from the years of 1979 to 1986, although some of the material dates back to 1973. Included are manuscripts from most issues between 1979 and 1986, as well as correspondence with the editors.
Canadian ForumThis accession consists of four books. The first book, The Holy Bible, is a pulpit bible printed by John Baskerville [c.1750], and includes the dedication to King James 1 and the Apocrypha. Handwritten family records, from Thomas A. Stewart's father down through several generations, appear on the inside of the front cover and at the beginning of the New Testament. Included with the bible is a description and history of the book, as provided by Reverend John Shearman. The second book is a "Commonplace" book. The notebook inscribed "Frances Browne, 1811", reflects Frances Stewart's taste in verse and sayings and is handwritten except for a few clippings inter-leaved. A photocopy of the "Commonplace" book is also included.
Two additional books were added in 2004. The first of these is Frances Browne's music book, 1811, and consists of sheet music bound together inside a leather cover; the inscription on the cover reads "Miss F. Browne, 1811." The second of these is Church of England, Book of Common Prayer and Administration of the Sacraments..., [170-]; the title page is missing.
Stewart familyThis item is a loosely bound set of reports of the Cramahe and Haldimand Female Tract Society dealing with income and the distribution of tracts to "place divine truth before the minds of our fellow sinners." Doane familyThis fonds consists of Mary Ollerhead's notebook with teaching notes. At the back of the book are notes pertaining to her estate after she died. There are a number of notes that Mary wrote pertaining to her estate and funeral arrangements. A carbon copy relating to her will and some sympathy cards are also included. There is a collection of bank books from 1937 to 1953 included in the fonds as well as a retirement letter from the Toronto Board of Education and a few other articles of correspondence.
