Pimlott, DouglasThis collection consists of research material pertaining to sailing directions in Lake Ontario in 1815-1816; a photocopy and typescript of "Captain W.F.W. Owen's journal & memoirs of the back or Northern Communication between Lakes Ontario and Huron, 1817"; and a photocopy of "Elias Smith, Loyalist, Letter Book, 1799-1800" with accompanying typed indexes. Also included is a copy of "A History of Elias Smith U.E. 1736-1820, patentee of Hope Township and Merchant of Montreal" by Phyllis White, 1990, and a copy of "Oaths of Allegiance sworn before William Willcocks, J.P. 1800-1806 and Robert Baldwin 1800-1812" compiled by Phyllis White, 1997.
White, PhyllisThe photographs were taken by Mr. William Martyn who lives on Alexander Ave. in Peterborough, Ontario, next to the hospital. Over the years, whatever the weather, Mr. Martyn produced a complete chronicle of the building/demolition process. Many hours too, were spent arranging and compiling the photographs on the disks into a comprehensive slide show.

Peterborough miscellaneaThis collection consists of 14 photograph negatives of Peterborough Normal School, undated, and portraying people and the grounds of the school. The negatives are enclosed in a J.J. Gilfillan, Orono, Ontario, photographer's envelope, with the name Calvin Hamm, Orono, Ontario written on it. Calvin Hamm was born on March 28, 1909 at Orono, son of Ernest Hamm and Florence Hughson. He was appointed Principal of the Morley Consolidated School at Stratton in September 1935 and received his B.A. at Western University in June 1943. He later taught high school in Fort Frances (taken from a typed information enclosure which accompanies the collection). Also included is a Peterborough Normal School Christmas Card, undated; a Peterborough Normal School Literary Society invitation, 1930; and a photograph of the "Floating Bridge, Bridgenorth, Chemong Lake, 1933."
Peterborough Normal SchoolThis fonds is comprised of typescripts of newspaper articles from the Peterborough Weekly Despatch, the Peterborough Review and the Peterborough Examiner. The articles have been arranged chronologically under a number of subject headings by the donor.
The fonds consists of assorted documents related to Peterborough County, and the surrounding area. It includes: By-laws of North and South Monaghan townships, broadsides (sale of lands for taxes), numerous newspaper advertisements (commercial and political) and assorted postcards depicting area scenery. Also included are two photographs, one of Hon. Zaccheus Burnham, and the other, of Rev. Mark Burnham.
Peterborough miscellaneaFonds consists of photocopies of the hydro pole register of the Peterborough Light and Power Company. The register includes maps and statistical information and the originals are dated 1892-1921.

Peterborough Free PressThis collection consists of 33 lithographic print plates, mounted on wood, of photographic negatives of the fire brigade, Peterborough City Council (1925, 1933 and 1941), the waterworks, the first fire engine, and the Aylmer Street station. There are also print plates of photographic negatives of fires at various buildings in Peterborough including Quaker Oats, the Boston Cafe, the Salvation Army, and the Peterborough Canoe Company.

Images include Peterborough Lift Lock, Little Lake, Petroglyphs, Peterborough Square, Fairhaven Home for the Aged, Edmison Heights Public School, P.C.H. Nurses residence, Queen Mary Public School, Kinsmen Garden Club, Zeidler farm house, Peterborough Courthouse addition, Sir Sandford Fleming College, Hutchison House, Art Gallery of Peterborough, St. Peter's Cathedral, Peterborough Centennial Museum, Peterborough Public Library, Comstock Funeral Home, Peterborough Theatre Guild, Victoria Park, Kaos Cafe & Revue Cinema, etc.
This collection consists of original photographs, copy photographs, negatives and glass negatives of the City of Peterborough. Subjects such as street scenes, store fronts, churches, industries, cemeteries, the Peterborough Canoe Company and schools are included in the fonds. Most of the photographs were taken by Roy studios and used in "Peterborough Examiner" articles during the 1960's.
This collection consists of copies of the agendas and minutes of the first eight meetings of the Steering Committee on Bikeways. Also included are a 1975 Peterborough Bikeway Report (which includes a proposed bicycle trail map), correspondence, etc.

This collection consists of a number of photographs depicting various people such as Queen Victoria, William Lyon Mackenzie King (May 22, 1948 in Ottawa), two brass bands of which one is from Cobourg, Ontario and two photographs of a wood bee at Salem, Ontario, January 25, 1899, photographed by F. B. Jones of the Dominion Photo and View Co., Brighton, Ontario. There are also 4 photographs of unknown people.
Collection consists of postal envelopes featuring Pauline Johnson. On 10 March 1961, the Government of Canada released a commemorative stamp celebrating the 100th anniversary of Pauline Johnson's birth.
Collection consists of genealogical material collected by Pat Bolger for her research on Percival J. Cooney (1871-1932) who wrote Kinsmen, published originally in 1916 and then reprinted in 1992. Cooney was born in Peterborough, Ontario. One of his brothers, Franklin Cooney, became Governor of Montana.
Folder 1 contains textual records, photocopied newspaper articles and genealogical charts. Folder 2 contains photographs of the Cooney family.
Bolger, PatThis fonds consists of photocopies of 43 interview transcripts of residents of the Trent Valley area. The interviews were conducted by Daniel Francis under contract, in 1979, to Parks Canada and focus on such themes as transportation, commerce, settlement, tourism, and resource development. They relate to the section of the Trent-Severn waterway stretching from the mouth of the Otonabee River to Bobcaygeon.
Parks CanadaThe collection of pamphlets in the Trent University Archives are generally Canadian in scope and there is a special emphasis on items that relate to the Peterborough and Trent regions.
Collection consists of nine Boyd family photograph albums, 14 glass plate negatives, and several strip negatives. The images depict the lives and activities of the Boyd family of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, and include lumbering scenes, Trent Canal steamboats, buffalo/Hereford animals, and travel excursions. Also included are three "Gypsy" photographs (Peterborough, 1909), and photographs of winter sporting activities. Several photographs depict family members; many are unidentified. Also included in this collection are copies of the wills of WT.C. Boyd and Mossom Boyd.
Orgill familyThis fonds consists of two execution books from 1851 to 1852 in the County of Ontario. One is an account book referring to fees paid and the costs covered. The other is an account of summons sent and received. Places mentioned include Brock, Beaverton, Darlington, Mariposa, Millbrook, and London. There are accounts of L. Fairbanks, up to 1858 in the books as well.
Ontario CountyCollection consists of 17 postcards depicting various buildings especially in the cities of Hamilton and London, but also in Belleville and Kingston, and one in Montreal, Quebec. Most of the cards are addressed to Miss Charlotte Banks, Brantford, Ontario, and are dated 1908-1911.
Collection consists of issues of the OCA newsletter, whose predominant name was OCAsional news.
Ontario Camps AssociationCollection consists of brochures and pamphlets for children's day and overnight camps, primarily in Ontario. Most pamphlets were removed from accessions in the Ontario Camps Association (OCA) fonds.
