Due to the universal nature of his cartoons, Racey gained international recognition and his works were reproduced in numerous newspapers and magazines around the world. Fonds consists of records documenting the Stinson family, primarily the legal and political career of T.H. Stinson. Family records include Christmas cards, wedding invitations, and family portraits, Mrs. Stinson's correspondence, and travel records (postcards, booklets, photographs) documenting the 1913 Christian North American Tour, in which Mr. and Mrs. Stinson participated. Records documenting T.H. Stinson's legal and political career include law school notebooks (1904-1910), correspondence and a scrapbook regarding the 1921 election, campaign files and notes from the 1930 and 1935 federal elections and Leslie Frost's 1934 provincial campaign, material from the Conservative Party Caucus Study club, newspaper clippings regarding the depression and the Bennett government, memoranda, correspondence regarding the riding organization (1933-1935); and House of Commons materials. There are postcards which depict scenes of Canada and the United States, from approximately 1920. Included, also, are several local maps, election posters (1927), and voter tally boards.

Collection consists of three personal notes written by Catharine Parr Traill to her grand-niece, Agnes Le Fenore. One is a two part card with the cover illustrated with cutout images of a dog and a butterfly along with a wisp of moss glued to the surface. The second part of the card is a warm salutation to Agnes and her family. The date is 24 December 1897. The second item, dated 12 May, is a note of thanks to Agnes for obtaining a cape [and cap?] for her, and also refers to fatigue and the problem of swelling feet. The third item is a letter written 1 April 1899 to "G Niece A F" [Agnes] sending belated sympathy for two in hospital and describing in some detail Traill's own plight, and the care offered by Kate and Katie.

This item is a Public School Daily Register folder dated 1895 for Public School #3 from Camborne in Hamilton Township. It includes an attendance record for January, 1897, along with a report of number of male and female students in December, 1896. The register folder spells out in some detail the subject requirements for the various grades.

This collection consists of a book of typed recipes with "J.R. Ferguson" hand-written on the front cover. Its cover is hand-made with a coloured drawing of a woman carrying a platter with the name . Also included in the fonds is a letter on Hall & Furgason letterhead (Produce Commission Merchants, New York) from a son to his mother dated September 20, 1895. (Note different spelling of the name Ferguson/Furgason).

This item is a letter book related to carpentry, contracting and building activities in the Colborne, Ontario, area. It contains some interesting material on house construction in terms of methods and materials. It also contains some information on Colborne area churches. The letter book has a partial index to the correspondence of William Ives.

The fonds consists of photocopies and typescripts of correspondence and journals of Reverend Robert Brooking and his wife Elizabeth relating to his service as a missionary in Africa, in Canada West and in the Hudson's Bay Territory. Also included are reports of the Wesleyan Missionary Society, 1851-1857. Some of the items relate to the Hiawatha and Rama Reserves, and Norway House. The original records date from 1839 to 1879. Also included is a modern print of a photograph of Rev Robert Brooking [ca. 1890] and 3 photographs of Elizabeth's tombstone at Chief Island, Lake Couchiching, Rama Reserve, near Orillia.

This fonds consists of glass slides which were used as teaching materials at Mount St. Joseph. The subjects include Tennyson: Idylls of the King, 55 slides; physiography, 15 slides; zoology, 5 slides; physics, 4 slides; English and history, 7 slides; and, European history, 6 slides. Ten of the slides in physiography, 2 slides in botany and 1 slide in chemistry were made by high school students in Lindsay.

This fonds consists of research materials collected by Professor Ross Irwin for his book on Mariposa Township, Victoria County. Material added August 1992 includes a copy of Mariposa: The Banner Township and a series of 8 scrapbooks created by Mrs. Alex McIntyre of Oakwood, Ontario and donated via Professor Irwin. Additions of 1994 include slides of Lindsay, Ontario and other scenes in Victoria County taken in approximately the 1960s. Additions of 2002 include 2 notebooks of Robert Irwin, Cambray. Additions of 2010 include studio portraits of ancestral family members. Additions of 2012 include items related to the history of the Wakelin family and a scribbler with house-building notes.
