This addition to the fonds consists of correspondence, research notes and photographs as well as manuscripts of Professor David S. Macmillan while he was researching topics and papers for publication or lectures.

Fonds consists of correspondence and research notes created by Rev. Lloyd Delaney for his historical sketches of Gore's Landing & St. George's Church. Also included are typescripts of the diary of Reginald Drayton, artist.

This fonds consists of the working papers of R.G. Barclay including correspondence, notes and drafts relating to a history of unemployment insurance which was written by Barclay; correspondence, memoranda, press clippings regarding guaranteed annual wage plans and health insurance; correspondence and clippings regarding pensions; miscellaneous correspondence and papers; and photographs of Unemployment Insurance Commission staff and landscapes. The fonds also includes correspondence, memoranda, memorabilia and photographs regarding the "53 Varieties".

Fonds consists of Harley Cummings' research material for Early Days in Haliburton, published in 1963. Included are original wage lists, letters, receipts, accounting records, and agreements of the Ottawa logging company, Bronsons and Weston, with several documents relating to their York Branch operation. Documents relating to business transactions with the Boyd lumbering company of Bobcaygeon, and with individuals along the Peterson Road and Bobcaygeon Road who provided supplies and lodging for the workers comprise a part of the holdings. Mentioned are the Egan Farm in Dungannon Township, Hastings County, and the Bruton Farm on the Peterson Road in Haliburton County. There are references, too, to the operation of cadges between locations (commercial carriers which transported supplies by horses and sleigh/buggy). Also included are copy maps; photographs; notes; handwritten transcriptions of diaries of Alexander Niven and of Mrs. C.R. Stewart; and photographs of Lillian de Grassi Boyd, the Blomfield [Blumfield] family of Lakefield, and the Strickland homestead in Lakefield.

This collection consists of technical plans and details of the Deloro mining processes, labour relations and union papers, medical information concerning arsenic poisoning, historical material regarding Deloro and the village of Marmora, maps, and plant photographs, layouts, and site plans.

The fonds consists mostly of Helen Marryat's (nee Helen Fowlds) personal experiences as a nurse in World War I, and her activities as a local historian. There are clippings of her articles in local newspapers, historical maps (drawn by Gerald Marryat) and other materials relating to settlement of Hastings and district such as education and nursing. Also included are the correspondence and photograph collections of her brothers, Donald and Eric (mostly from World War I), and material on Frederick Marryat (1792-1848), navy captain and novelist. In December 2001, Trent University Archives launched an online exhibit which depicts Helen Fowld's experiences in World War I. The fonds consists of the personal diaries, letter books, and store notebooks of John Northway and his son A.G. Northway and the business and corporate records of the companies founded by John Northway and Son Limited, the Northway Company Limited, and their various subsidiaries throughout Ontario. They include pension fund operations, ledgers, financial statements, investment registers etc. No records exist which show the manufacturing operations of John Northway and Son Limited.

This addition to the fonds consists of maps, correspondence and related documents of the Bronson Company, the Gatineau Power Company, and the Ottawa Power Company collected by William Hamilton Munro.

This fonds has extensive personal genealogical research material collected by John A. Bradshaw, Crown Attorney and Clerk of the Peace for the City of Peterborough from 1948 to 1974. The fonds includes correspondence with genealogists, notes, photocopies of related passages, poems, and chapters of books and other published material, photographs and a 1757 edition of The London Chronicle.

The fonds of the Peterborough Cricket Club consists of scorebooks of the club (G. Whitaker Company Cricket Club) 1937-1954; 1965, as well as photographs of players and matches. Also included are newspaper clippings and rule books. Amongst the cricketeers is Richard B. Rogers.

Fonds consists of scrapbooks, archaeological photographs, and research papers generated primarily by Gilbert Bagnani. The fonds also includes earlier World War I military photographs generated by Ugo Bagnani. Some of the photographs show Mrs. Bagnani in court dress. Also included are Stewart Bagnani bridal photographs.

This fonds consists of the personal and business records of the Geale, Hamilton, Peck, Barker and Rogers families. There are letters relating to World War I written by Beresford and Robert Hamilton and Heber and Harry Rogers; letters, diaries, journals of Richard Birdsall Rogers (superintending engineer of the Peterborough Lift Lock); the records of Hon. Robert Hamilton, a factor at the Hudson's Bay Company stationed at Fort Edmonton. The fonds also contains stereographs, approximately 1000 photographs, and a C.E. Goad fire insurance plan for the city of Peterborough, 1882. Items of interest include a group of photographs of the Trent Valley area and the building of the canal; Rogers family pictures of the Stoney Lake area and the Juniper Island Regatta; photos of early aircraft and the Curtiss Aviation School; photos of hydraulic lift lock at Peterborough; and one letter from Catharine Parr Traill to Robert Miles Hamilton.

This collection of family papers, correspondence, journals, photographs, newspaper clippings and published works spans the years 1834 to 1966 and measures approximately 3 1/2 linear metres. The papers were deposited in Trent University Archives through the courtesy of members of the Geale and Rogers families in 1983.

The papers are divided into two series:

Series A, the Geale family papers, consists of records pertaining to the descendants of the Hon. Robert Hamilton, a factor of the Hudson's Bay Company stationed at Fort Edmonton in northern Manitoba. Robert Hamilton married Annie Seabourne. One of their sons was Robert Miles Hamilton (1864-1939). He married Alice May Barker and resided at "Auburn" in Peterborough, Ontario. Their children were Miles Beresford Hamilton, Robert Barker Hamilton, (Alice) Seabourne Hamilton, and S.R. Hamilton (son). Alice Seabourne Hamilton married Charles Norman Geale. Papers of the Barker family (the Hon. Samuel Barker was Mrs. Robert Miles Hamilton's father) are included in this series as are the papers of the Peck family. Edward Armour Peck was the natural son of Arthur Henry Peck and the adoptive father of Charles Norman Geale. He married Kitty Revell. Both Miles Beresford Hamilton and Robert Barker Hamilton served overseas in the First World War and their correspondence is included in this series.

Series B of this collection consists of the Rogers Papers. Richard Birdsall Rogers was born at Ashburnham in 1857. He lived there until 1916 and then moved to "Beechwood Farm" in Douro Township. He was a land surveyor and was appointed superintendent engineer of the Trent Valley Canal in 1884. Richard married Clara Mina Calcutt of Peterborough in 1881. They had seven children. One daughter, Leah, married Herbert Geale, brother of Charles Norman Geale. Two sons, Heber and Harry served overseas in World War I. Their correspondence is included. R.B. Rogers designed and supervised the building of the hydraulic lift locks at Peterborough and Kirkfield. These papers included several files of plans and specifications for the locks, correspondence and documents accrued during the scandal preceding Rogers' resignation in 1906, the Holgate Report which condemned Rogers and the Keefer investigation which completely vindicated his work as Chief Engineer. This fonds consists of correspondence, copies of articles, and manuscripts relating to the book "Here Was Vinland" (Sault Ste. Marie, 1939). It also includes family papers and miscellanea. The correspondence includes letters from C.E. Brown, L. Burpee, Dr. T.P. Christennen, Dr. K. Christofferson, J.E. Dodd, A.J. Erikson, E. Greenaway, Judge A. McComber, the Smithsonian Institute, V. Stefannson, and others.

This fonds consists of minutes, financial records, scrapbooks and other records relating to the Lyceum Club and Women's Art Association of Peterborough. The scrapbooks contain articles on the clubs history as well as photographs and other notes of interest.

Fonds consists of photographs, correspondence, and miscellaneous documents pertaining to the Atwood family of Lakefield, Ontario. Also included are materials pertaining to Anne Atwood's family, the Traills; a sketch identified through an accompanying note as Ernest Shackleton; and correspondence between Edwin Guillet and explorer George M. Douglas.

This fonds consists of research material, manuscripts, published articles and correspondence of Blodwen Davies with the Saskatchewan Arts Board and the National Museum.

This fonds consists of one photograph album, dating from around 1910 to the 1960's. There are assorted programmes and flyers, mostly from Middlebury College, Vermont and this includes programmes for the Coronations of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. Also included in the fonds is a 1924 newsletter for Franklin Square House (Girls' Home) and the "Second Book of Verse" by Betsey Buttles with some loose greeting cards and poems.

Fonds is comprised of audio tapes, scrapbooks and photographs related to Betty Lynn Viney’s experience as a student at Trent University from 1965 to 1969.

This fonds consists of the original and collected papers of E.C. Guillet, relating to his works and research on the Trent Valley/Peterborough/Kawartha area. Included is correspondence, primarily with George M. Douglas and Helen Marryat; maps (photocopies); newspaper articles regarding above area; collected manuscripts of historical authors; photographs; and Guillet's own unpublished manuscript of Canadian Literary Pioneers.

This fonds consists of photographs, two charcoal portraits, land documents, family bible and biographical sketches of Lakefield, Ontario. It also includes information on the Joseph Walton family of Smith Township. The bible contains genealogical information and is a "Cottage" Bible stamped with name of Joseph and S.J. Walton.

Fonds consists of a bound original assessment roll for Harvey Township for 1927, a photograph of Marjorie McLean Oliver (ca. 1919), two account books of the tourist camp which the Olivers operated (1926-1947; 1951-1970), a cemetery deed from Verulam Cemetery Company (1880), tax bills (1907-1968), and assessment notices (1891-1960). Also included are two land documents (1927; 1938) of the property donated to Trent University in 1998 by Marjorie McLean Oliver in memory of her father, James McLean Oliver.

This fonds consists of publications, pamphlets, correspondence, journals, and reports concerning the International Peace Movement, socialism and communism.

Fonds includes photographs and textual records about the student life of Brenda Brownlee, Class of 1966, at Trent University. Folders include admission letters and correspondence from Trent university and the University of Toronto, convocation programs (1969, 1970), and Brownlee’s academic records. Also included are production programs for “Gilbert and Sullivan,” “Patience,” and “The Mikado,” along with 13 small black and white photographs of the rehearsal of The Mikado (1970). There are also 3 larger black and white photos of the Champlain College exterior buildings. Additionally included is a booklet related to the Trent Development Fund, titled “An Individual Experience,” which contains several black and white photos of Trent University campus, and additional information.

This fonds consists of the Ontario Native Development Fund's correspondence and records which relate to the native position in Ontario and to the establishment of the ONDF's field reports of visits to Ontario cities to set up fund raising events.
