This item is a watercolour of chrysanthemums by Susanna Moodie. It includes the inscription "or dear Victor with Grandmother's kind love. Designed from Nature in the 72 year of her age, Toronto, August 31th 1875."

This addition to the fonds consists of correspondence of Frances Stewart and her mother's family (the Wallers). Some letters relate to her upbringing in Ireland. The remaining correspondence concerns her life in Douro Township as one of the first pioneers. Frances describes pioneer life and its attendant hardships, the settlement and development of the Peterborough area and Douro Township and social, family, religious and economic life in early Ontario. Some correspondence concerns the publication of 'Our Forest Home'.

The 10 microfilm reels deal with the decennial manuscript census for 1901 of Peterborough County and Town, Victoria County, Northumberland County, Durham County and Hastings County.

Series consists of inquest documents, including certifications of attendance at the inquest by the Coroner, warrants to call a jury directed to the Sheriff, information and evidence of witnesses and the Coroner's autopsy report and findings.
