Davies, BlodwenThis item is an account book kept by the Grafton Woman's Missionary Society between 1911 and 1926. The Society kept track of expenses, membership and profits. The book has members names and what they paid in membership plus donations from members who were unable to attend meetings. There is also a Treasurer's quarterly report booklet which can be found between the pages of the account book.
Grafton Womans Missionary SocietyThe fonds consists mostly of Helen Marryat's (nee Helen Fowlds) personal experiences as a nurse in World War I, and her activities as a local historian. There are clippings of her articles in local newspapers, historical maps (drawn by Gerald Marryat) and other materials relating to settlement of Hastings and district such as education and nursing. Also included are the correspondence and photograph collections of her brothers, Donald and Eric (mostly from World War I), and material on Frederick Marryat (1792-1848), navy captain and novelist. In December 2001, Trent University Archives launched an online exhibit which depicts Helen Fowld's experiences in World War I. Kirkpatrick to his brother Alexander in Dublin, with a few to his brother William regarding family and friends, business matters, local news, comments on the political situation in Canada, St. John's Church in Peterborough, Thomas A. Stewart and his family, and the Rebellion of 1837. The records cover the period between April 1831 and November 1851.

Massey-Cooke, W.E.This fonds consists of Mary Ollerhead's notebook with teaching notes. At the back of the book are notes pertaining to her estate after she died. There are a number of notes that Mary wrote pertaining to her estate and funeral arrangements. A carbon copy relating to her will and some sympathy cards are also included. There is a collection of bank books from 1937 to 1953 included in the fonds as well as a retirement letter from the Toronto Board of Education and a few other articles of correspondence.

The papers deal with family matters, and are particularly valuable for those interested in the Society of Friends. Some of the correspondence originated in the U.S.A.

Choate familyThis accession consists of four books. The first book, The Holy Bible, is a pulpit bible printed by John Baskerville [c.1750], and includes the dedication to King James 1 and the Apocrypha. Handwritten family records, from Thomas A. Stewart's father down through several generations, appear on the inside of the front cover and at the beginning of the New Testament. Included with the bible is a description and history of the book, as provided by Reverend John Shearman. The second book is a "Commonplace" book. The notebook inscribed "Frances Browne, 1811", reflects Frances Stewart's taste in verse and sayings and is handwritten except for a few clippings inter-leaved. A photocopy of the "Commonplace" book is also included.
Two additional books were added in 2004. The first of these is Frances Browne's music book, 1811, and consists of sheet music bound together inside a leather cover; the inscription on the cover reads "Miss F. Browne, 1811." The second of these is Church of England, Book of Common Prayer and Administration of the Sacraments..., [170-]; the title page is missing.
