The collection of pamphlets in the Trent University Archives are generally Canadian in scope and there is a special emphasis on items that relate to the Peterborough and Trent regions.
This collection consists of pamphlets, occasional papers, article reprints, and government publications relating to Indigenous peoples (mostly in Canada) and their cultures, the territorial north, archaeology, education, and northern communities.
Taylor, William EwartCollection consists of the collective agreements and bylaws relating to the three bargaining units, and their predecessors that make up the employees. Trent University Faculty Association (TUFA) represents the faculty and librarians; OPSEU Local 365 (formerly the Trent Staff Association) represents support staff; Canadian Union of Education Workers (CUEW) Local 8 and Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 3908 Unit 1 and CUPE Local 3908 Unit 2 representing contract teaching staff and graduate students, respectively.
Collection is organized into 3 series by bargaining units TUFA, OPSEU, and CUPE.
Collection consists of correspondence, research material, and publications relating to Burke's research on A.J.M. Smith’s professional career and personal life, gathered during her doctoral studies at the University of Ottawa (1975-1978). The correspondence includes letters with Smith’s contemporaries and Burke’s nomination of Smith for an honorary degree at the University of Calgary. Photocopied research material includes course listings from Michigan State between 1931 and 1945 (when Smith worked there) and histories of the university. Also includes an audio cassette of 1965 WUOM Radio broadcast "A Tribute to Roethke," featuring E.G. Burrows (host), Allan Seeger; Donald Hall; A.J.M. Smith; Nelson Bently.
Burke, AnneThis fonds consists of oral history tapes made by George Cobb. Topics covered on the tapes include the Trent Canal, lumbering, early medicine and dentistry in Peterborough County, Indigenous history and culture, mills and so forth. Cobb, GeorgeThis collection consists of 278 slides taken by Rosemary McConkey during her work as a nutritionist in Malaya (1962) and in Nigeria (1965). McConkey was part of a team of medical personnel and scientists from the University of Ohio who undertook surveys of nutritional needs in these two areas. McConkey has supplied a detailed listing of the slides (below) and has also included a 45 r.p.m. recording of the national anthem of Malaya "Negara Ku,", six books relating to the two areas and a map of Malaya. McConkey, RosemaryFile consists of two data papers from the Southeast Asia Program, Department of Asian Studies, Cornell University: The first is "Maternity and its Rituals in Bang Chan" by Jane Richardson Hanks (1963). Excerpt, from page 3: "The purpose of this study is to set down the ethnographic data concerning childbirth in Bang Chan, following out the economic, social, religious, and cosmological aspects as needed to clarify the behavior and the psychological attitudes noted."
The second report is "Singapore and Malaysia" by Milton E. Osborne (1964). Excerpt, p.v: "...the People's Action Party's decision to contest the Malayan elections in April 1964 appears to have been an important turning point in Malaysian politics... This survey seeks to describe and analyze the events between the assumption of power by the People's Action Party in Singapore in 1959 and that party's decision to contest the Malayan elections in 1964."
Collection consists of an inventory of land locations for early settlers and inhabitants of Ops Township from the initial survey of the township in 1825 to 1872. It includes census information and assessments of households, various voter's lists, many Ops Township documents and one map for the 1839 Assessment Roll. The collection also includes a variety of cookbooks, recipes, food preparation manuals for specific cooking devices, and research notes.
McConkey, RosemaryThis collection consists of transcripts of minutes of the Board of Directors' of the Canadian Land and Emigration Company, 1868-1885, and annual reports of Bronson and Weston, lumber merchants, 1876-1884, with whom the Company did business. Also included are excerpts from the diaries of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Stewart, agent for the company in Haliburton, and their son Charles E. Stewart, 1865-66 and 1870.
Canadian Land and Emigration CompanyThe microfiches contain the guide to the holdings of the Archives of Ontario for the Jarvis-Powell Papers, the Strachan Papers, the Sir Alexander Campbell Papers and the Ontario Commissions and Committees.
This collection consists of an eclectic assortment of documents and papers pertaining to many parts of Canada including 3 documents prepared by Powadiuk for the government, 2 of which concern Indigenous peoples; 10 prints of 19th century personalities; 1905 map of the Niagara River; papers re Indian-Eskimo Association; deeds, mortgages and trust documents from Huron and Bruce Counties; Niagara peninsula documents including Hugh Alexander's account book; Lord Selkirk letter dated 1837; Charles G.D. Roberts letter dated 1892; notes on the inception of "Evangeline." A major element in the collection relates to Mr. James Ross of East Hawkesbury, stone mason and merchant and his family. The Ross quarry appears to have supplied stone for the Carillon lock and for Fort Henry. The family was involved in the East Hawkesbury school for 2 decades.
Powadiuk, JosephCollection consists of 28 volumes of land registry books, including abstract indexes to deeds and instruments of deed, mortgage and acquittal. Books relate to the East Riding of Newcastle District: Durham County (now Durham County) and include the townships of Manvers, Darlington, Hope, Clarke, Cartwright and Cavan and the Town of Port Hope. Books contain instruments (memorials) of all land transactions including mortgages).
This fonds consists of minutes, by-laws, cash books and miscellaneous correspondence of Emily Township, Victoria County, Ontario.

Victoria CountyCollection consists of materials pertaining to Lakefield, Ontario, including Lakefield's Local Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee (L.A.C.A.C.) meeting minutes, correspondence and research materials; issues of The Parish Magazine; medical receipts of Dr. John Rodger Fraser, Assessment Rolls; Fire Insurance Plans; business daybooks, one of which at least may have been related to the Hendren Funeral Home of Lakefield; and various other records.
Twist, WilliamCollection consists of 9 audio cassette records of individuals reminiscing about Leslie Frost and his brothers Cecil and Grenville. Tapes were made in 1984 and individuals interviewed include: William Davis, Richard Gorwill, Hugh Latimer, Clare Westcott, Alf Cole, Roland Michener, and Marjorie Porter. there are transcripts available. Also included in the collection is an illustrated paper presented by Brian McFadzen, 2006, entitled "The Frost Brothers in Lindsay." Also included is a CD of photographs reproduced from a Frost scrapbook and showing their homes and offices in Lindsay Ontario and also showing portraits of the Frost brothers.

This collection is part of Special Collections, and the monographs works are catalogued in Omni and can be browsed here. Page, P. K. (Patricia Kathleen)File contains a binder assembled by Alf Grigg relating to his time as a coordinator and supervisor for the city of Toronto Teen Leadership Camp. Within the binder are documents and letters from campers, staff and Griggs himself regarding their time at the Leadership Camp. Additionally, there are also photographs of the camp and campers from 1984, 1987 and 1988.
Collection consists of newsletters, handbooks, promotional material, and other ephemera issued by departments at Trent, including academic departments, research centres, the library and archives, and athletics.
Collection consists of photocopies of newspaper clippings gathered as part of the press clippings service for the Ontario Native Affairs Secretariat, from December 5, 1994 to February 13, 1995. The photocopies are on a wide range of topics concerning Indigenous peoples and communities, including land claims, resource usage, environmental impacts, economic and business development, the justice system, and various community news.
CD consists of the scanned 400-page letterbook of Walter J. Francis. The letters are dated 1898-1906 and relate to the engineering practice of the writer. Of particular relevance to the Peterborough area are letters concerning the building of the Peterborough Lift Lock.
LeCouffe, BruceFile consists of 5 warrants of distress from Northumberland and Durham (Hamilton Township). One warrant from 1857 uses the name District of Newcastle to refer to the same region. Warrants are for two men, Oliver Stanton (3 warrants) and Thomas Johnson (2 warrants). The warrants all follow the same formal, legalistic style, outlining the debtor, the amount owed, and authorizing the sheriff to seize property up to that value. The verso of each warrant contains a summary of the person charged, amount owed and paid, and date(s).

This fonds consists of a dedication program for the cenotaph honouring the heroes of the Great War (World War I) in Millbrook on June 23, 1921. There is also a photograph of the Millbrook Lacrosse Team of 1881 who were the Champions of Central Ontario. The photograph has a list of names affixed to the back of it.
