This item is a scrapbook containing Victorian magazine clippings, newspaper clippings, receipts from a trip to Europe in 1885, clippings regarding John Miller's student days at Queen's University from 1882 to 1886, concert and theatre programs from Lindsay, Kingston, Peterborough (including ventriloquist and mind reading events), London, England theatre programs and newspaper clippings regarding a murder trial heard in Woodstock, Ontario, 1890.

This item is an original day book from the Benson Mills (also called Creek Mills and Peterboro Mills) which describes work done, for whom work was done, and value of work done.

The fonds consists of family and related papers of Henry Fowlds and his family including James S. Fowlds and H.M. Fowlds. It also includes business correspondence, invoices, some journals and cashbooks, mortgages as well as deeds regarding the business of Henry Fowlds, Jas. S. Fowlds and Bros. and H.M. Fowlds. In December 2001, Trent University Archives launched an online exhibit which depicts Helen Fowld's experiences in World War I. This fonds consists of the minutes and proceedings of conventions and annual meetings of the Ontario Progressive Conservative Association (OPCA), and its Liberal-Conservative and Conservative predecessors. It also includes a minute book of the Women's Advisory Committee of the OPCA, (January 13, 1945-November 4, 1957); and the minutes and proceedings of the National Conservative Association Leadership Convention, Winnipeg, December 9-11, 1942.

The fonds consists of records of several of the early Peterborough Unions. Included are: Moulders' Local 191, Journeymen Tailors 23, Bricklayers 17, Painters and Decorators 370 and 725, United Brotherhood of Carpenters 672, Barbers 402, Pattern Makers, Machinists 286 and Operating Engineers 690, the International Union of Steam and Operating Engineers and the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen," 1917 [in Polish]. Original correspondence from sister unions in Canada is included as well as large volumes of correspondence from the American headquarters of each local. In addition there are several original minute books, secretaries' books, and treasurer's reports for the locals. Published material includes circulars, by-laws, rules of order and constitutions. There are also records dealing with the Peterborough Trades and Labour Council (1902), the Labour Educational Association of Ontario, the Trades and Labour Congress of Canada and the American Federation of Labour, material from the latter two being mostly in the form of circular-type letters.

The fonds consists of photocopies of letters to George Campbell, mostly from Alex. and James Campbell from Manitoba, outlining working and living conditions in the aftermath of the Red River Rebellion. The letters contain comments on the ethnic nature of the population, farming prospects, and the election riot of November 1871. The letters were written between October 30, 1870 and October 5, 1874.

The fonds consists of the typescript memoirs of Minnie E. McHolm of her life in Frome, Somerset, England, to March 1913, then the memoirs of life as a domestic on the Canadian prairies, outside of Regina, to December 1920. The fonds also includes two booklets of Mrs. McHolm's poetry, The Indiscretion of Mary Jane and Sunset at Golden Hill. Additional material received in 2003 includes another book of poetry, Singing With a Swing, and newspaper clippings regarding Minnie McHolm. Also included are 2 Christmas cards featuring McHolm poems signed by Minnie McHolm and a newspaper obituary.

Rubidge) report on the prospects for the development of the Trent Canal as an industrial navigation system linking Lakes Huron (through Georgian Bay) and Ontario. Fonds consists of records of the Trent University PC (Progressive Conservative) Club, a student organization, from the late 1960s and early 1970s. Records include PC Club minutes, correspondence, and other papers, as well as materials issued by the Progressive Conservative Youth Federation (PCYF) Ontario Progressive Conservative Student Association (OPCSA), and Progressive Conservative National Headquarters. The first file in the fonds contains a handwritten "list of materials from Trent PC Club turned over to government documents section, Bata Library," dated May 2, 1973, and includes a list of the contents of these files.

This fonds includes the letters of Anna Leveridge, written to her mother and family friends in England, describing their boat trip to Canada and pioneer life in the backwoods of Hastings County, Ontario, near Coe Hill, Marmora, and Millbridge. The fonds also includes family genealogy and photographs.

Rogers' (superintending engineer) covering report on the proposed Trent Canal from Port Hope to Rice Lake, 8 pages, January 31, 1900. 2) The supporting, or investigated, document submitted by Robt. A. Maingy (mining and civil engineer) to Lt. Gov. Sir John Colborne on the same topic on March 6, 1833, 8 pages. Roger's report was submitted to Collingwood Scheiber, Chief Engineer of the Department of Railways and Canals.

Lett Hackett, by Ulster True Blue and; 3. a certificate of degree, dated March 26, 1923, of Norman Killenbeck, L.O.L. Peterborough #3.

This item is a broadside which reads "A By-Law to amend By-Law No. 54, ...... for the purpose of restraining the running at large of Animals in the Township of North Monaghan, providing for the impounding of the same and settling the height and description of Fences in said Township." The broadside was printed by Alexander Graham of Peterborough.

This item is a leather-bound sermon book, of notes taken by an unidentified person at Kilbride, Stevenstoune and Kilwinning in Cunningham, Scotland (south-west of Glasgow) from August 12th to October 1705.
