This collection contains 89 2.5" x 4" black and white photographs of soldiers from World War II of the Peterborough and Cobourg areas.

Collection consists of numerous land documents including mortgages and deeds, and wills and probates of wills, mostly relating to property and people of Murray Township, County of Northumberland. Some of the names indicated on the documents include George Ahearn, David Ahern, Stephen J. Brown, Henry William Fox, John Wesley Haight, Christopher McKanna, Elizabeth Mills, Matthew Mills, Jane Ripson, John Simmons, Solomon Waldron, Margaret Walsh, and Florence Mildred Way, Gideon Shepard Way, Jacob Way, Manley Way, and Percy Way.

This collection consists of municipal proceedings published in pamphlet form from various townships and counties in Ontario.

County and township proceedings, minutes and financial statements are usually produced approximately once a year in a published format. They are distributed to citizens who want an accounting of the county and township councils activities and expenditures.

This collection consists of a number of photographs depicting various people such as Queen Victoria, William Lyon Mackenzie King (May 22, 1948 in Ottawa), two brass bands of which one is from Cobourg, Ontario and two photographs of a wood bee at Salem, Ontario, January 25, 1899, photographed by F. B. Jones of the Dominion Photo and View Co., Brighton, Ontario. There are also 4 photographs of unknown people.

This collection consists of assorted documents relating to Cobourg and vicinity. It includes marriage certificates, correspondence, indentures, opera house programmes, choral and church programmes, an oil sketch by Alice M. Duncan, and photographs and postcards. It also includes a copy of the "Cobourg World", April 8, 1898 Volume 25, and No. 43.

This collection consists of a photograph of John R. Marshall, possibly in his late 30s or early 40s, and newspaper clipping memorials to Marshall at the time of his death in April 1952.

This collection consists of voters lists for various townships in Peterborough, Durham, Brant and Hastings counties such as Asphodel, North Monaghan, Otonabee, Harvey, Burleigh and Anstruther, Dummer, Hope, Brantford, Onondaga, the Town of Paris and Sidney.

File contains images and audiotapes pertaining to the career of James Armstrong, member of the RCMP, while stationed at Alexandria Fjord, Ellesmere Island, Northwest Territories (now Nunavut) between 1958 and 1961. Included are two items created in 2015: one compact disc of 14 audio mp3 files titled “Alexander Fjord” (containing recollections of James Armstrong); and, one flash drive of copies of images taken from 1433 slides of Alexander Fjord (included are images of nine Inuit families of Alexander Fjord that were under the supervision of Armstrong; images of Armstrong himself; northern airplanes; northern scenery, etc.).

Collection consists of postal envelopes featuring Pauline Johnson. On 10 March 1961, the Government of Canada released a commemorative stamp celebrating the 100th anniversary of Pauline Johnson's birth.

File includes correspondence written by camp director, Mrs. Pickles; also camp form letters, applications, etc.

This fonds consists of ledgers, day books and other record books, mostly unidentified as to exact name and location of the business. All were situated in the Peterborough/Cobourg/Norwood/Marmora area.

File consists of two data papers from the Southeast Asia Program, Department of Asian Studies, Cornell University: The first is "Maternity and its Rituals in Bang Chan" by Jane Richardson Hanks (1963). Excerpt, from page 3: "The purpose of this study is to set down the ethnographic data concerning childbirth in Bang Chan, following out the economic, social, religious, and cosmological aspects as needed to clarify the behavior and the psychological attitudes noted."

The second report is "Singapore and Malaysia" by Milton E. Osborne (1964). Excerpt, p.v: "...the People's Action Party's decision to contest the Malayan elections in April 1964 appears to have been an important turning point in Malaysian politics... This survey seeks to describe and analyze the events between the assumption of power by the People's Action Party in Singapore in 1959 and that party's decision to contest the Malayan elections in 1964."

This collection consists of 278 slides taken by Rosemary McConkey during her work as a nutritionist in Malaya (1962) and in Nigeria (1965). McConkey was part of a team of medical personnel and scientists from the University of Ohio who undertook surveys of nutritional needs in these two areas. McConkey has supplied a detailed listing of the slides (below) and has also included a 45 r.p.m. recording of the national anthem of Malaya "Negara Ku,", six books relating to the two areas and a map of Malaya. This collection consists of records collected by G. Wilson Craw such as school histories, Peterborough County; Barnardo's Canadian Homes Almanac 1901; a list of Peterborough Utilities Commissioners 1902-1965; biographies of Peterborough residents; deeds and mortgages; North Monaghan voters list 1883-4; 76 photographs of industries, schools and churches and sporting groups, as well as a history of Springfield, North Monaghan.

Fonds consists of indexes and other material compiled by Joan Murray in 1970, in her capacity as art editor for The Canadian Forum. Contains two three-ring binders of textual and graphic records, one print copy of The Canadian Forum from April-May 1970, and a 1-page handwritten note [in Murray's hand?]. The first binder (7 cm) contains an index of all illustrations by artists in The Canadian Forum until 1970, organized alphabetically by artist. The second binder (4 cm) contains an index of select articles in The Canadian Forum between 1930 and 1950, organized alphabetically by subject matter. The print copy of the magazine is the 50th anniversary edition, dated April-May 1970. The handwritten note is titled "Themes of the time."

File consists of materials related to Leslie King's time as an undergraduate student at Trent University. File includes an introductory guide to Traill College from 1969, which King produced as a member of the Traill College Cabinet; correspondence from President Symons and Justice Bora Laskin pertaining to the 1968/69 yearbook (Excalibur), which she edited; and King's research paper, correspondence, and photographs pertaining to Peterborough potteries, which was submitted to Professor Kenneth Kidd.
