This item is a petition of freeholders of Emily Township to John Huston, Surveyor of Highways, paying for alterations in roads, especially along the Emily/Ennismore boundary.

This fonds consists of microfilm of RG 1, E3 which is described in the Public Archives of Canada inventory as a series of loose miscellaneous records which provide the documentation and background for many of the cases referred to the Executive Council of Upper Canada. The cases relate to many topics, some of which are: the 1837 Rebellion in Upper Canada; petitions for land, clemency, and various types of licenses; a few trials for murder and arson; schools; lists of settlers; roads and bridges; and United Empire Loyalists. The records on the microfilm date from 1791 to 1841.

The microfilms are copies of assessment and census rolls, 1803-1850, voter's lists, 1854, and poll books, 1816, 1820, 1824 for the Newcastle District. Area covered includes various townships in the present-day counties of Peterborough, Northumberland, Durham and Victoria. The townships of Hamilton and Haldimand were not filmed.

The assessment and census returns contained in this microfilm are taken from the Journals of the Assembly of Upper Canada and its successor, the Assembly of United Canada from 1824 to 1850.

File consists of single-volume update of the master plan for parks and recreation in the City of Peterborough, created in 1978. The study ran from June 1988 to February 1989 and sought to address evolving needs for parks and recreation. Graham Good and Trent University students assisted the primary author, John S. Marsh. The board of parks and recreation at the time of publication consisted of John Lewis (chairman), Robert Livingstone, Elizabeth Farquharson, Don Curtis, Larry Legault, Alderman Paul Crough, and Alderman David Edgerton. Acknowledgements include Kevin Ready, Peter Southall, Graham Good, Doug Batten, Betty Drain, and Judy Reader.

The cover is inscribed with a handwritten note that says "Please return to P.S.B. Wilson Trent University" and appears to have Wilson's signature above it.
