General note

Biography/History

Kawartha Heritage was produced from the proceedings of the Kawartha Heritage Conference which was held in Peterborough in 1981. The Conference was "A heritage celebration designed to celebrate the Kawarthas in all their breadth--the environment, the literary traditions, the native and pioneer settlers, the steamboating and a host of other aspects of the environment, the people and their culture..." (Taken from: "Kawartha Heritage." Peterborough: Gould Graphics, 1981.)
