Fonds is comprised of Friends of the Bata Library minutes, financial statements, publicity materials, bulletins, news releases, correspondence, membership lists, fundraising materials, and materials pertaining to the special collections purchased for the Library and Archives.
Friends of the Bata LibraryCollection consists of the collective agreements and bylaws relating to the three bargaining units, and their predecessors that make up the employees. Trent University Faculty Association (TUFA) represents the faculty and librarians; OPSEU Local 365 (formerly the Trent Staff Association) represents support staff; Canadian Union of Education Workers (CUEW) Local 8 and Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) Local 3908 Unit 1 and CUPE Local 3908 Unit 2 representing contract teaching staff and graduate students, respectively.
Collection is organized into 3 series by bargaining units TUFA, OPSEU, and CUPE.

Trent Concurrent Education Student AssociationFile consists of materials related to Leslie King's time as an undergraduate student at Trent University. File includes an introductory guide to Traill College from 1969, which King produced as a member of the Traill College Cabinet; correspondence from President Symons and Justice Bora Laskin pertaining to the 1968/69 yearbook (Excalibur), which she edited; and King's research paper, correspondence, and photographs pertaining to Peterborough potteries, which was submitted to Professor Kenneth Kidd.
Records document the activities of Trent University's Department of Anthropology. Fonds consists primarily of records relating to courses, including syllabi, exams, and enrollment information. Also included are departmental meeting minutes, records relating to personnel and facilities, correspondence of the chair , conference files, and information relating to field work in various locations. Fonds is organized into four series: Governance and administration; Correspondence, conferences, and organizations; Courses programs, and field trips; and Anthropology Club.

Department of AnthropologyThis addition to Professor Denis Smith's fonds consists of records forwarded to the Archives via the office of the Journal of Canadian Studies in 1988 which were apparently generated by Professor Denis Smith. Most files relate to Trent University, its founding and architectural history, and areas of interest to Professor Smith such as the Committee For An Independent Canada and the Canadian Forum. Includes drafts of an unpublished manuscript on the history of the university.
Smith, DenisThis fonds consists of correspondence, research notes and original documents which were collected by Professor David Macmillan during his research. Items such as voters' lists for Victoria County, Ontario and a series of broadsides advertising land in Victoria County; documents from the Hudson's Bay Company, East Indies; minutes from the Barbados Board of Legislative Council, a Sydney Australia Company, and the Sydney Australian Committee of the New Steam Company; and a number of reproduction engravings and prints are included in the fonds. Also included in the fonds is a copy of Macmillan's 1964 Ph.D. thesis: "The Scottish Australian Connection..." and assorted pamphlets relating to New South Wales.

Records include correspondence, meeting minutes, photographs, newspaper clippings, planning records, student records, pamphlets and other ephemera, course syllabi, and student governance records. Fonds also includes a speech and pamphlets from a talk given by Margaret Lightbody for the Canadian Federation of University Women (CFUW).

Dean of Arts and ScienceThis fonds consists of research in the 19th and 20th century Canadian historical geography, specifically emigration and settlement from British Isles to Upper Canada, the Trent Canal use during WWII, the environmental and cultural consequences of flooding from the Trent Canal dam in the late 19th century, and research on Bon Echo, Algonquin, and Banff National Parks. Research is also included on European migration and land settlement patterns and processes in Cape Province, South Africa in the early 19th century and in Western Australia in the early 20th century. Included in the research materials are several maps, a small collection of photo negatives, and microfilm reels.
Brunger, AlanThis addition to the fonds consists of correspondence, research notes, newspaper clippings, art catalogues, manuscripts relating to Paul Kane; anthropological research, Irish literary personalities, native art, culture and artifacts, cutlery and trade beads. Also included are personal records of Professor Kidd and his career at the Royal Ontario Museum and Trent University . Kidd, Kenneth E.Fonds consists of scrapbooks, archaeological photographs, and research papers generated primarily by Gilbert Bagnani. The fonds also includes earlier World War I military photographs generated by Ugo Bagnani. Some of the photographs show Mrs. Bagnani in court dress. Also included are Stewart Bagnani bridal photographs.

Series consists of a print report of the 50th anniversary of Trent events and a Peterborough This Week issue commemorating the anniversary. Series also includes various promotional material from events and celebrations and DVDs of symposiums, panels, and speeches that were held as part of the anniversary celebrations.
Series consists of event promotional material, reports, photographs, and correspondence relating to events that were planned by Alumni Engagement and Services and other university departments. Events include reunion weekends, university anniversaries, convocation, dinners, and award ceremonies. Series also consists of drafts of Trent Magazine articles, updates from alumni for the “sunshine sketches” magazine feature.
Series consists of various memorabilia collected by Alumni and Engagement Services over the years, documenting Trent history and alumni experiences. Some of these materials once lived on the “wall of fame” in Alumni House, where alumni staff kept materials dropped off by alumni or documenting their achievements. Included are photographs of early Trent events, including the university’s opening ceremonies and first convocation. Series also includes various buttons created by Trent entities, including unions OPSEU Local 365, Trent University Faculty Association (TUFA), as well as student groups, and to commemorate events. There are also various CDs and cassette tapes of music performed by alumni as well as films and documentaries produced or directed by alumni.
Series consists of planning documents, correspondence, publications and other activities of the student alumni association. The main purpose of this area of Alumni Engagement and Services was to engage with current Trent students who would eventually become alumni. This was done by organizing student representatives from the Colleges who organized events, created publications, and liaised with Alumni Engagement and Services on behalf of the student body.
Series consists of records pertaining to life insurance benefits offered by Alumni Engagement and Services to Trent alumni. Records include correspondence between Trent and the insurance companies (Great West Life, Campbell & Company, and Seaboard Life Insurance), statements, promotional material, and a project plan for moving insurance companies.
