This fonds consists of research in the 19th and 20th century Canadian historical geography, specifically emigration and settlement from British Isles to Upper Canada, the Trent Canal use during WWII, the environmental and cultural consequences of flooding from the Trent Canal dam in the late 19th century, and research on Bon Echo, Algonquin, and Banff National Parks. Research is also included on European migration and land settlement patterns and processes in Cape Province, South Africa in the early 19th century and in Western Australia in the early 20th century. Included in the research materials are several maps, a small collection of photo negatives, and microfilm reels.

This addition to the fonds consists of correspondence, research notes, newspaper clippings, art catalogues, manuscripts relating to Paul Kane; anthropological research, Irish literary personalities, native art, culture and artifacts, cutlery and trade beads. Also included are personal records of Professor Kidd and his career at the Royal Ontario Museum and Trent University . Fonds consists of scrapbooks, archaeological photographs, and research papers generated primarily by Gilbert Bagnani. The fonds also includes earlier World War I military photographs generated by Ugo Bagnani. Some of the photographs show Mrs. Bagnani in court dress. Also included are Stewart Bagnani bridal photographs.

This fonds consists of correspondence, accounts, notes, clippings and articles relating to the conference held at Trent University on January 24 and 25, 1975.

Binder 1 includes pre-confederation preparations; conference material; addresses by Hon. Hugh Faulkner; correspondence; and budget material. Binder 2 includes assorted clippings relating to the conference and 3 copies of May 1975 edition of the Journal of Canadian Studies which dealt with the conference.

Series also consists of drafts of Trent Magazine articles, updates from alumni for the “sunshine sketches” magazine feature.

Series consists of various memorabilia collected by Alumni and Engagement Services over the years, documenting Trent history and alumni experiences. Some of these materials once lived on the “wall of fame” in Alumni House, where alumni staff kept materials dropped off by alumni or documenting their achievements. Included are photographs of early Trent events, including the university’s opening ceremonies and first convocation. Series also includes various buttons created by Trent entities, including unions OPSEU Local 365, Trent University Faculty Association (TUFA), as well as student groups, and to commemorate events. There are also various CDs and cassette tapes of music performed by alumni as well as films and documentaries produced or directed by alumni.

The main purpose of this area of Alumni Engagement and Services was to engage with current Trent students who would eventually become alumni. This was done by organizing student representatives from the Colleges who organized events, created publications, and liaised with Alumni Engagement and Services on behalf of the student body.

Fonds consists of records documenting the activities of Alumni Engagement and Services and its predecessors, including efforts to engage with Trent alumni in collaboration with alumni chapters and the Trent University Alumni Association (TUAA). Records include annual reports, planning documents, alumni council meeting minutes, correspondence,, Trent Magazine drafts and articles, and updates from alumni. Also included are records documenting events and engagement initiatives, including reunion weekends at Head of the Trent, chapter events, talks, dinners, the Alumni letter writing campaign, fundraising campaigns, and award ceremonies. Also included is promotional material from these events; photographs, video, and sound recordings of events and talks; and memorabilia created and collected by alumni. Fonds also includes the planning documents for some of the events with corresponding promotional material. Collection includes a poster titled "Second Annual Bay Bell Memorial Race at Kawartha Downs" and 2 photographs with race horses: "Hiawatha Parade", 1984; "Francis T. Return", 1985. The race was sponsored by The Social and Athletic Association, Trent University. Bay Bell was Head of Security at Trent University, 1967-1983.

File consists of materials related to Leslie King's time as an undergraduate student at Trent University. File includes an introductory guide to Traill College from 1969, which King produced as a member of the Traill College Cabinet; correspondence from President Symons and Justice Bora Laskin pertaining to the 1968/69 yearbook (Excalibur), which she edited; and King's research paper, correspondence, and photographs pertaining to Peterborough potteries, which was submitted to Professor Kenneth Kidd.
