Fonds consists of the printed genealogy of the families of Ian Lachlan Campbell (1927-) and Marion Isabel (Wellwood) Campbell (1926-). Included are 14 spiral-bound volumes entitled "Difficulty Overcome." The volumes are a study of the clans, extended families, lineages and families of the descendants of Colin Campbell (b. Islay 1792, d. Eldon Twp., Ontario - 1877); Isabella Carmichael (b. Islay 1792, d. Eldon Twp., Ontario - 1830); William McLachlan (b. Isle of Islay, d. Victoria County, Ontario); Christina Bell; William McCoy (b. Co. Down, Ireland, 1819, d. Hamilton, Ontario, 1887), Ann Hamilton (Ireland); Samuel Jeffery (b. County Down, Ireland, d. The fonds consists of the Sherin family and business records such as mortgages, deeds, notebooks, correspondence and newspaper clippings from May 1, 1814 to November 5, 1970. The fonds also includes records of the general store, J.C. Sherin and Son of Lakefield; day books dating from June 6, 1860 to June 2, 1881; December 4, 1886 to September 28, 1906; and journals dating from 1860 to 1907. There are also records from the store kept by S. Henderson (J.C. Sherin's son-in-law) which are interspersed throughout the fonds.

This fonds consists of two books of poetry by Frederick Montague de la Fosse, "Verses Grave and Gay" and "A Dream and An Allegory" which are signed by the author and given to Helen Anderson from him. Also included in the fonds are some poems, all signed by de la Fosse and letters to Helen Anderson from de la Fosse as well as two photographs of de la Fosse; one as a young man (signed on the back) and one of him as an older man.

The fonds consists of photocopies of letters to George Campbell, mostly from Alex. and James Campbell from Manitoba, outlining working and living conditions in the aftermath of the Red River Rebellion. The letters contain comments on the ethnic nature of the population, farming prospects, and the election riot of November 1871. The letters were written between October 30, 1870 and October 5, 1874.

This fonds consists of the administrative and academic records created during Professor Kenneth Kidd's career at Trent University. The fonds has been arranged into three distinct series: administrative, academic, and materials related to the development of the native studies program at Trent University. It includes: committee minutes; correspondence, especially relating to the Departments of Anthropology and Native Studies; and manuscripts of works on glass beads, which were later published. There are also brochures, programs and papers from learned societies.

The records concern all public relations aspects of Trent University and include many fugitive items from other fonds. They were forwarded to the Archives by Jim English. Many files pertain to student activism in the 1960's at Trent and at other universities, and to the Trent University Founding Fund and Development Fund. Information on convocations, text of honorary degree presentations and photographs is included. The dates covered are for the years 1962-1980.

The records of the Northern Chair consist of committee minutes, taped lectures, correspondence, records related to Thomas Berger, Dennis Patterson, Mary Simon, William Taylor, etc. and cover the dates 1986-2003. The records were forwarded to the Archives in 1993 by Peter Kulchisky, in 1996 by John Milloy, and in 1998 by Bruce Hodgins. A further addition of tapes, reels, and videos was received from the Audio-Visual Department in approximately 2012 and added to existing boxes.

Campbell family fonds

This fonds consists of five bound volumes relating to activities of the Campbell family of Keene, Ontario. There are ledgers, diaries and a scrapbook which date from 1862 to 1929.

This fonds represents many different members of the Campbell family of Keene and their interests. The scrapbook was composed by Isabelle Fulton Miller Campbell, daughter of Isabella Brownlie Miller and James Miller, and deals with different areas of interest to her. The two diaries, written by Isabelle Fulton Miller Campbell, deal with every day life and reflect how a number of people lived during the time period covered by the diaries. There is a business ledger of William Campbell who was a tailor in Keene and he also appears to be responsible as an executor for people's estates including his mother's. There is also a day book from a Keene grocery store which lists what the Campbells and other people in the Village of Keene purchased.

This fonds consists of a published copy of Iroquois Fires: The Six Nations Lyrics and Lore of Dawendine by Bernice Loft Winslow; a video tape of an interview of Dawendine by Donald Smith in 1993; an audio cassette of Dawendine talking, recorded in 1972; three reel to reel tapes donated [to Dr. Smith] by Helen Rothwell; and two cassette tapes, the first of which includes an interview of Dawendine by Betty Kennedy in 1963 and an introduction by Jane Coventry at the Ontario Camping Association, and the second of which is of Dawendine telling stories at Camp Waseosa. One additional file of correspondence and short story manuscripts, a box of 19 slides, and one cassette tape were added at a later date.

Gray depicting World War I aircraft training scenes; pictures of area in and around Meaford and Collingwood, Ontario; photographs of "Lingerlonger Lodge" located south of Minden, Ontario, on Moore Lake; Sea scout and military photographs; and photographs of a road survey crew north of Dorset, Ontario (field work students from the School of Practical Science, University of Toronto.)
