Item is a postcard depicting a street scene showing the Post Office.

This paper is comprised of the family reminiscences of Susan Greeley, focusing on stories of the settlement of the Rogers family in New Hampshire in the mid-1700s and later immigration to Canada. The concluding paragraph reads as follows: "The foregoing has been written by me and is a statement of facts within my recollection and from what my mother has told me, she having been a member of the first party of U.E. Loyalists that settled on the Bay of Quintie in June 1784. Dated at Haldimand this 27th day of Decr. 1901. [Signed] Susan B. Greeley."

This item is a copy of an autobiography of Hon. Sir William Howland as dictated by him in 1906, with 12 appendices and a family tree. Topics covered include Confederation, Red River Colony 1857-58, militia matters, Reciprocity Treaty negotiations of 1865, Reform party politics and separate schools.

Published in 2014 in celebration of the 100th anniversary of Thomas J. Bata's birth (copy signed by Sonja Bata). Also included is a printout of an invitation to the 100th birthday event.

This fonds consists of two certificates: a Horticultural Service Diploma dated 1952, awarded to Sheila Boyd by the Bobcaygeon Horticultural Society for "meritorious service to horticulture"; and, a Canadian Legion certificate dated 1955, awarded to Sheila Boyd as an expression of appreciation for her work with Bobcaygeon Branch 239.

Boyd, 1875-1877, typescript copy, 5 pages. b) Manuscript copy of J.W. Bicks "Reminiscences and Memorandum on Coming to Canada in 1837 and Dunsford family in 1838;" gathered 1891 (January 9) 5 pages. c) George Dunsford Reminiscences, taken down by H.J. Wickham, 1894 in Miss Boyd's hand.

Includes newspaper clippings, correspondence, programs etc. related to Neill, a WW II nursing sister who lived in Peterborough. Neill died in 1950. Genealogical information re Neill added to this file July 2016;

File consists of one scrapbook created by Gordon S. Berry in 1976. The original photographs were taken c. 1918-1928 primarily by Edward A. Eames, with a few by Frank Morris and Charles Mcnamara. They were used in the publication of the book “Our Wild Orchids – Trails and Portraits” (Morris and Eames, New York: Scribner and Sons, 1929). The volume is dedicated to Morris. The sequence of the photographs follows the listing in "Our Wild Orchids."

These portraits consist of two items. One is a portrait of Charles Rubidge, [181-?]. The caption "Captn C. Rubidge. Royal Navy, London, England," and a stamped credit "Brown 163 High Holborn London" are found on the reverse. The other is a portrait by F.W. Lock, 1845, of an unidentified male with last name Rubidge, believed to be a son of Charles Rubidge.

Item is a map entitled Romaine's Map of the Town of Peterborough and Village of Ashburnham. It is "Compiled from Registered Plans and Actual Surveys", and is "Published by Robert Romaine, at the Office of the "Peterborough Review", Peterborough, Ont., 1875". Further description follows: scale equals 4 chains to 1 inch, size 164.5cm x 116cm, original, mounted on linen, laminated, 1875.

File consists of a letter written on Massey College letterhead. Davies writes: "Dear Margaret: Here is the play about the Peterborough ladies - & another short one from the Peterborough district. - Many thanks for last night's delightful conversation! Rob."

This document is a contract covering the sale of a lot in the Township of Zorra to Robert McKay, signed by Peter Robinson and dated 18 August 1835.

Fonds consists of one Order Book from the estate of Richard Prettie, [Vernonville, Ontario], listing the auction sale dispersal of the household. The name "Stanley McBride, Centreton, Ontario" is found on the fly leaf. Several items listed as sold in the estate auction relate to farming.

This item is a photocopy of a lumber notebook of agreements with various people giving permission to cut timber on lots held in various townships (by Richard Birdsall for Canada Company). There is also a listing of lots held by the Canada Company in 40 or more townships and a listing of prices of various woods and staves. There are entries at both ends of the notebook dating from 1831 to 1832.

The fonds consists of photocopies of correspondence, petitions, drafts of same to be sent, letters received relating to Birdsall's efforts in organizing a volunteer militia in 1838, and relations regarding the 7th Provincial Battalion. The fonds also includes a few materials relating to surveying. The photocopied records date from 1837 to 1839.

Item is a bound typescript of a description of a journey made to Europe in 1973 by a group of war veterans and their families. The group included the authors of the manuscript. Author Jean McCullough is from Gunn, Alberta, and author Bob McElroy is from Bridgenorth, Ontario.

This fonds consists of typescript and photocopies of the report and diary of the survey of the Burleigh Road performed by James W. Fitzgerald, Provincial Land Surveyor, during the winter of 1860-1861.
