J.J. Turner & SonsThis black and white photograph is of a man in clerical dress and is by the Roy Studio of Peterborough. On the reverse, the name "E.H.D. Hall" (a Peterborough lawyer associated with the firm of Hall, Gillespie) is written in pencil. The subject of the photograph is identified in pencil on the reverse as "Rev. Herbert Simonds [sic] ". Symonds married Emma Boyd, daughter of Mossom Boyd. They had several children including one son, Herbert Boyd Symonds (Boydie). He was killed in W.W.1.

This collection consists of thirty-five labour posters printed in London, England and Budapest. There are also three charter certificates, one dated 1919, and two dated in 1937, which were issued to the Canadian Brussels Carpet Weavers Benefit Association and to the United Textile Workers Federal Union, both of Peterborough. Also included in the collection is a photograph entitled "Delegates to Twelfth Convention of the P.M.L. of N.A."

Miller, IsabellaThis item is a foreman's wage and material book from the Engineer Department of the Grand Trunk Railway, showing the name and occupation of workers, rate and amount of pay and material used for each four week period, 1866 to March 7, 1874. Each page bears the notation "paid at Belleville".
Grand Trunk RailwayThis fonds consists of two Christmas greeting cards sent to the Ropers by Ned and Vi Pratt. The card dated 1953 called "Night" with woodcut illustration by their daughter, Claire Pratt, contains a simple seasonal greeting. The other card, undated, contains a poem called "Magic in Everything", and is embellished with pen and ink decorations by Claire Pratt. Both cards are enclosed in a Trinity College envelope. Also included are three paper fragments: a typewritten one presumably quoting an aphorism by Pratt; a handwritten note referring to pages 380 and 396 in the volume Collected Poems in Roper's handwriting; and another reference to page 230.
Roper, GordonThis fonds consists of four expense books. One book contains a price list for assorted household items listed in alphabetical order from 1912 to 1915. Another book covers someone's personal expenses from 1887 to 1889. The third book covers someone's accounts from 1912 to 1915. The fourth book has a few expenses in it but it is mostly a handwritten English to French phase translation book with accompanying letters from an agency which placed governesses.
