The fonds consists of a cash book, dated April 1, 1871-January 3, 1883 and an account book, dated 1881-1882 of the Fairdale Cheese Company.
Fairdale Cheese CompanyOctavo. (21.5 cm x 14.5 cm), pp. 60, printed khaki coloured covers, sewn binding, title-page reproduced in frame to front cover, inscribed "Epiphany 1878, Wm. A. Langton from [??] Jones." (I can't make out the name.) Langton (1854-1933) was the son of John Langton, became an architect and practised in Toronto. He was editor of a collection of his fathers letters entitled: "Early Days in Upper Canada." Lower cover and spinestrip missing, first gathering coming loose, tanning to margins of upper cover with chipping along spine edge and upper corner, front cover appears to have been repasted at spine edge to title-page, else good. Canada. Peterborough County Census.This fonds consists of records relating to the professional and personal lives of Dr. Henry Turner (Sr.) and Dr. Henry A. Turner (Jr.), both medical doctors of the Millbrook area. The medical publications, prescription day books, office records, customer account books, transaction day books, stock books, business and domestic records and invoices, glass x-rays, and correspondence depict the lives of each man respectively, spanning the years 1872 to 1936. Also included are personal and business-related records of Alice Turner, nurse, daughter of H.A. Turner (Sr.). A Farmers and Business Directory for Peterborough and the United Counties has been catalogued and removed to the Trent Collection.

Roddy, JamesThis collection consists of a number of stereographs produced by different publishers with the majority published by Underwood & Underwood. There subject matter of the stereographs are the Boer War in South Africa from 1889 to 1902; the Timothy Eaton Company including store interior shots; views of Niagara Falls and the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa, Ontario.
Underwood & UnderwoodThis addition to the fonds consists of pencil sketches, in a book, of scenes along the Dawson Road such as Lake Shebandowan, Kettle Falls and Rainy River from a camp at Fort Francis.
Caddy, Edward C.Octavo. (21.2 cm x 14 cm), pp. 55, tan printed wraps, title-page reproduced in frame to front cover, sewn binding. Pencil signature on title-page of "J. Davis Barnett 9/82," possibly the civil engineer, railway superintendent, and great book collector, who came to Canada in 1866. Covers lightly soiled, chipping to spine and front lower corner tip, otherwise a very good copy. Reprinted in The Garland Library of War and Peace, 1971.[2315]
The fonds consists of daily meteorological registers of observations of temperature, barometer readings, precipitation, clouds, wind velocity and direction and the general state of the weather of Peterborough, Ontario. Also included are monthly abstracts recording temperature and barometric extremes, the number of rainy, snowy or foggy days, the number of days when there was thunder or lightening. Newspaper clippings regarding Peterborough local weather are included.
Meteorological Service of CanadaThis fonds consists of Mary Ollerhead's notebook with teaching notes. At the back of the book are notes pertaining to her estate after she died. There are a number of notes that Mary wrote pertaining to her estate and funeral arrangements. A carbon copy relating to her will and some sympathy cards are also included. There is a collection of bank books from 1937 to 1953 included in the fonds as well as a retirement letter from the Toronto Board of Education and a few other articles of correspondence.
