Most of the material comes from and concerns the Peterborough riding but there is some provincial and federal concerns included in the material. New Democratic PartyThis fonds consists of the personal records of Professor Thomas H.B. Symons relating to his activities on various boards and committees as well as Trent University. It includes correspondence; addresses given; articles written; as well as manuscripts, typescripts and research notes, photographs and video tapes.
Symons, Thomas H.B.This fonds consists of bound volumes of newspaper clippings, mostly concerning the Legislative Assembly of Ontario between 1916 and 1919. Four of the six volumes have the name J.J. Preston inside the front cover. One volume has the name J.C. Elliott on it. Elliott was the member for Middlesex West. The newspapers are from "The Globe" and the "Daily Mail and Empire".

Labour-Progressive Party (LPP)This fonds consists of three notebooks filled with newspaper clippings which reflect the exploits and accomplishments of three generations of the Barker family, and which incidentally reveal much of contemporary life. The first notebook dated 1860-1905 speaks mainly of the life of Dr. Edward John Barker, founder and editor of the Kingston newspaper "The British Whig", and later the daily "Whig." Dr. Barker's son, R.W. Barker, postmaster, and later postal inspector in London, Ontario, is the second figure of consequence in this volume. R.W. Barker apparently had a good voice and the record shows his participation in entertainment on many occasions. The second notebook deals primarily with the life of Captain R.K. Barker in the Boer War. It covers dates 1899-1901 (& some later), and reveals in significant detail the involvement of the Canadian contingent in the Imperial campaign. The third book, 1915-1919, recounts the Canadian contribution to World War I as revealed in newspaper articles (primarily Toronto newspapers), with some references to Lt. Col. R.K. Barker and his brother Capt. W.D.P. Barker.
Barker, LeslieThe fonds consists of records from the Harrison Liberal Conference from November 21-23, 1969 concerning Task Forces on Agriculture, Cities, Communications, the Economy, the Individual, Industrial Relations, International Relations, Poverty, Regional Development, and Student Unrest. The fonds also includes biographies of three of the speakers: E. Beecroft, D. Slater, B. Gross; and an address by John Turner (Hon.) to the Canadian Bar Association September 2, 1969.
Liberal Party of CanadaThis addition to the fonds consists of correspondence between Gavin Henderson and Professor George Warecki; Harvey Locke when President of Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society; and, the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources. The fonds also contain the program and letters of congratulation regarding Gavin's Order of Canada which was conferred in 1993. Records pertaining to the St. Lawrence Islands National Parks and the Thousand Islands Heritage area, early minutes of the Conservation Council of Ontario (1951-1955), brochures published by the Council as well as articles by Gavin Henderson are also included in the fonds.

The money was to go pay for the general expenses of the colony at Quebec. The document was issued by Monsieur de Boullougne, chief-treasurer or paymaster for the colonies. It was signed in Paris by Boullougne, by the Intendant de la nouvelle France and a witness.

Papers concerning the treatment of German Nationals in GermanyThis fonds is comprised of typescripts of newspaper articles from the Peterborough Weekly Despatch, the Peterborough Review and the Peterborough Examiner. The articles have been arranged chronologically under a number of subject headings by the donor.
This collection consists of copies of the agendas and minutes of the first eight meetings of the Steering Committee on Bikeways. Also included are a 1975 Peterborough Bikeway Report (which includes a proposed bicycle trail map), correspondence, etc.

King, William Lyon MackenzieThis fonds consists of microfiche copies of manuscript diaries written by King covering his university education, entry into the civil service, achievements as Minister of Labour and his election in 1919 as Leader of the Liberal Party, the Liberal victory of 1921 and the King-Byng controversy. The manuscripts are contained in consecutively numbered fiches. Typewritten transcripts of the diaries are included in a second series of microfiches. Also included are various private typewritten diaries relating to international relations and industrial relations. An index accompanies the microfiches. The records in this fonds range from 1893 to 1931.
