Collection consists of correspondence, 1882-1899, and several envelopes dating 1870s to 1890s, most of which are addressed to Thomas Choate of Warsaw, and Mrs. John Moore [Cettie Choate, daughter of Thomas]; souvenir brochure of pictures of Peterborough, Ontario; Maccabees brochures; approximately 125 stereographs depicting scenery, architecture, and people in the U.S.A., Europe, and Canada; two photographs of the employees of Western Clock Company Limited of Peterborough, Ontario, 1938 and 1944; a temperance meeting poster for Warsaw, Ontario, 1858; and an electoral district of East Durham proclamation broadside, 1924. Also included is the Choate Family Bible donated and added to the collection in 2002. The bible contains genealogical information on the Choate family.
Choate, Thomas Harold KenyonThis fonds consists of two binders enclosing the typescript of a narrative called "Rivers of Ice, the Voyage of Captain George Tyson." When the safety of the ship is threatened by being crushed in the ice, a contingent take refuge on a large ice floe. The narrative follows their vicissitudes and ultimate rescue.

The other sketch is of the Anderson house, the Ashfield house, Mr. Harry Fowld's house and the Wanamaker's house, all in Hastings, Ontario. The photographic reproduction is of a sketch entitled Hastings on the Trent, Ontario. The watercolours and sketches were created by Rev. Michael A. Farrar.

Delaney, Reverend LloydThe fonds consists of manuscripts of poetry; printed poems of Alice Roger Collins; and two letters from Alice Roger Collins (October 30, 1946; February 21, 1948) discussing personal matters, post World War II conditions, and her teaching of music at Walkerton, Ontario. The poetry is presumably by A.R. Collins, some of which is dedicated to 'Fergie' - in ink and pencil, and of a religious nature.

Pammett. This fonds contains excellent information on the settlement of Emily Township by Irish immigrants sponsored by Peter Robinson and facilitated by John Huston. Included are provision records, location tickets, and also Peter Robinson's signed letters.

Peterborough Chamber of CommerceThis fonds consists of photocopies of two diaries of Mark Robinson from October 8 to December 31, 1915 and January 1 to March 3, 1917. The 1915 diary deals mainly with recruiting men from Simcoe County. The 1917 diary describes an instructional tour of the trenches in France, time spent in England, and his return to Canada. Leslie and Cecil Frost are mentioned in these diaries.
