Administrative history

The Buckhorn Wilderness Centre, established in 1966, was a non-profit corporation dedicated to the preservation of typical Canadian wilderness for the education and cultural enrichment of future generations. In 1971 responsibility for the Centre was transferred to the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority.

Custodial history

The fonds was previously in the custody of two owners: Dr. Bruno Morawetz of the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority, and Douglas Sadler.

Scope and content

The fonds consists of the records of the Buckhorn Wilderness Centre including: charter, minutes, correspondence, by-laws, membership and financial records.
