This fonds consists of the Catharine Traill Naturalists' Club's administrative papers, club newsletters, field trip notes, various papers regarding field trips and workshops, membership/address lists and personal correspondence of founding members, George McKiel, Elizabeth Parnis and Wendy Dathan.

This fonds consists of seven scrapbooks of newspaper clippings relating to the history of the 127th Battalion Canadian Expeditionary Forces (Queen's York Rangers) which were compiled by Captain J.C. Boylen.

This addition to the fonds consists of legal documents and newspaper clippings pertaining to Captain Charles Rubidge and his family. Also included in the fonds is one photograph of Rubidge, three issues of early Peterborough newspapers and a sketch (copy) of the Village of Peterborough from 1828 by Basil Hall, produced by the camera lucida.

Fonds consists of sheet music, some of which is hand-copied. The items originated with Captain Charles Rubidge and penciled annotations suggest that he collected or hand-copied a number of them in the early 1800s for his wife-to-be, Margaret Clarke, before coming to Canada. "Mrs. Rubidge" is written in hand on some pieces. Provenance is indicated on some documents in layered notes made by family descendants across generations. Also included is information compiled by Laurie Lambe Wallace about the sheet music and its history within the Rubidge family.

In 2017, 29 additional pieces of sheet music dating to the early 1800s were added. This music belonged to Mary Catharine Dunsford, wife of Reverend Hartley. Some of the music includes handwritten notations with family names and dates. While the publications of some pieces may date to the early 1800s, the handwritten penciled dates cover a period generally between the 1830s and 1860s. The notations point to connections between the Rubidge, Dunsford, McEwen, and Boyd families of the Peterborough area. Included in this addition is genealogical information compiled by the donor.

This fonds consists of registers and indices to Orders-in-Council; registers of decisions taken by the Privy Council including number, name and subject, date of receipt in the Privy Council, date of report of committee, date when confirmed in Council and remarks; and an index (1939-1945) of the Cabinet War Committee, with minutes and documents. The records on the microfilm date from 1867 to 1965.

Correspondence regarding the purchase of the A.J.M. Smith collection by Trent University, and lists of books, hand copied in pencil, are included. Other correspondence addressed to A.J.M. Smith and to Peter Smith from Buffy Glassco, Ralph Gustafson, Leon Edel, and others is included.

Fonds consists of Professor Alan Brunger's research material pertaining to the historical geography of Bon Echo Provincial Park and Algonquin Provincial Park. Also included is historical geography research material and microfilm reels relating to the Peter Robinson Irish emigration to the Peterborough area.
