Biographical history

Marlow Banks was a resident of Peterborough, Ontario and the owner of the Banks Bicycle Store. He was a hockey fan, and more specifically, a fan of the Peterborough Petes hockey team. Mr. Banks used to sponsor the "Banks Bicycle Store Trophy" which was awarded annually to the Petes regular season scoring champion.

Custodial history

This fonds was created by and in the custody of Marlow Banks until the fonds was donated to the Trent University Archives.

Scope and content

This fonds consists of official programs, player statistics, schedules, and prints of photographs of the Peterborough Petes, Ontario Hockey Association Major Junior "A" Hockey Club which were collected by Marlow Banks. The fonds also contains correspondence to and from Marlow Banks in reference to the sport of hockey, hockey programs, and hockey magazines.
