File consists of a modern reproduction of a photograph of Bill Batten leading a parade in front of Hendren’s Funeral Home in Lakefield to deliver Massey equipment. Photograph is accompanied by a note that reads “Bill Batten was the Massey Harris agent for the county of Peterborough.....his nickname was ‘Massey....’”

This item is a C.E. Goad fire insurance plan of Beaverton, Ontario as at July 1910. It includes a key plan (scale 500':01") and a key to symbols.

The fonds consists of original and copies of letters from Elizabeth C. Yeats, William Butler Yeats, J.B. Yeats, George Russell and others to Professor A.T. De Lury relating to Irish literature, poetry, and Irish politics. It includes some typescript copies and photocopies of all letters. The topics covered by the correspondence include Caula Press, Abbey Theatre, Irish theatre as well as other topics.

Boxes 1-5 contain records relating to Sydney Helmer Standen (SHS) (known as Sid), as well as papers relating to other members of his family and of the families of Euphemia (Effie) Young Standen (nee McQueen) (EYS), his wife. Sid Standen was born 27 July 1905 in Minesing, Ontario, and died in Burnaby, British Columbia, 12 March 1975. In addition to documents of vital statistics, there are files regarding his schooling, teaching career, military service, sporting life, church life, and household and financial affairs. Professor Standen indicates that the papers were arranged to reflect their provenance as nearly as possible as they were found on the death of SHS in 1975. Most of the correspondence in these files contains letters received by SHS and EYS. They represent only a small fraction of the correspondence that the two received in their lives together. It is evident from even this limited record that they both engaged in a voluminous correspondence with distant family and friends. The letters span two world wars, drought and depression, and the Cold War era.

This album contains photographs of Canadian soldiers from World War I, the monument to Edith Cavell and a Canadian troop train.

The fonds consists of original photographs taken and collected by the Bark family. It includes: a photograph album of Lieutenant George S. Gray depicting World War I aircraft training scenes; pictures of area in and around Meaford and Collingwood, Ontario; photographs of "Lingerlonger Lodge" located south of Minden, Ontario, on Moore Lake; Sea scout and military photographs; and photographs of a road survey crew north of Dorset, Ontario (field work students from the School of Practical Science, University of Toronto.)

Collection consists of unpublished and published research papers of a more general nature by faculty and students, particularly students in applied history classes such as HIST 475.

Original printed wrappers with yapp edges, two-holed ribbon binding and staples, illustration mounted to front cover. Yapp edges chipped with short tears, as usual, large chip missing from head of spine, otherwise a very good, clean and complete copy of a rare item. "The aim in this book has been simply to describe briefly the totems, and the legends connected with them. All these poles may be seen in the usual tourist visit to Southeastern Alaska . No totem is treated in this work which has not been ceremonially erected." - from the Conclusion. This fonds consists of six photographs of "Blyth", the home of John Langton and his family. The photos were taken in 1911 and 1912. The home, which has since been demolished, was close to Fenelon Falls on Sturgeon Lake. The people in the photographs are not identified. Written on an envelope, included with the photographs, is "1911 & 1912. Old photos of "Blyth" Given to M. McCulloch by Mrs. [Frances] George Douglas."

This item is an account book which appears to have been that of a Peterborough area shoe retailer, C.E. Smith Boots and Shoes. Loosely inserted in the book is a letter dated 1913 from Hastings written by J.F. McCarthy to C.E. Smith, esq., regarding an order for a pair of shoes. Several of the accounts itemized in the book are with shoe companies. Glued in the book is a "Bank of Montreal, Peterborough" bank slip.
