This fonds consists of two watercolours with one identified as Hastings, Ontario, and and the other identified as Forest City. Also included in the fonds are two pencil sketches and a photograph of another sketch. One sketch of two farms and a river with a steamboat on it, but otherwise unidentified. The other sketch is of the Anderson house, the Ashfield house, Mr. Harry Fowld's house and the Wanamaker's house, all in Hastings, Ontario. The photographic reproduction is of a sketch entitled Hastings on the Trent, Ontario. The watercolours and sketches were created by Rev. Michael A. Farrar.

This fonds consists of 4 original documents pertaining to the land on which Victoria College, Cobourg, was situated. One document is the declaration of Rev. S.D. Rice verifying the signatures of the Attorney General (John A. Macdonald) and the Deputy Registrar (Thomas Mayor) on the other three documents.

This item is a photocopy of the rough draft of the Lang Mill Manual prepared by Shelagh Grant for the Otonabee Conservation Authority.

The Lang Mill Manual is a history of the Mill at Lang Pioneer Village in Keene. Included in the manual is a brief history of Lang Village and the mill; a short description of the Millowner, Thomas Short; a description of the buildings and the dam; a description of the workings of the mill including water power and the production of flour and oatmeal; and a description and short history of Red Fife Wheat. There is also a chronology of the history of the mill; a list of developments at the mill; a plot plan of the land owned with the mill; a survey of Allandale and a general history of early flour mills in Upper Canada. A list of sources is located at the back of the manual indicating that a number of primary and secondary sources were used.

This fonds consists of one school class photograph, and negative, from S.S. #5 from 1900. The names of all the children and the teacher are listed on the back of the photograph. There is one photograph, and negative of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Hope and which had belonged to Ross Comrie. There is also one photograph, and negative, of John, Hugh and Alexander McFee. There is family history written on the back of the photograph about each McFee and their families as well as where John McFee lived.

This fonds consists of fur trading licences issued to traders by the North West Company.

This fonds consists of a bibliography of William Breyfogle's works and a biography. Also included is a photograph of Breyfogle which was taken by Roy Photo Studio, Peterborough in November, 1938. The covering letter from Velma McWilliams who compiled the bibliography is included as well.

This fonds consists of Mary Ollerhead's notebook with teaching notes. At the back of the book are notes pertaining to her estate after she died. There are a number of notes that Mary wrote pertaining to her estate and funeral arrangements. A carbon copy relating to her will and some sympathy cards are also included. There is a collection of bank books from 1937 to 1953 included in the fonds as well as a retirement letter from the Toronto Board of Education and a few other articles of correspondence.

This fonds consists of three letters between Gene Kelly, Steve Otto and James Rothenburg discussing a possible connection between Kelly and the Sheehy Family of the former "Sheehy" house, which became part of Peter Robinson College, on George St. N., Peterborough, Ontario.

This item is a printed program for the opening ceremony of the Peterborough Centennial Museum on October 28, 1967. Participants in the opening ceremonies were Lt. Col. R.J. Bolton, Rev. D.E. Tansley, Mayor Jos. Behan, Carmen Metcalfe, Hugh Faulkner M.P., Walter Pitman, Magistrate W.R. Philp, A. Kraetzer-museum contractor, E.B. Zeidler-museum architect and Col. Hugh Wallis as the guest speaker.

This fonds consists of one shipboard dispatch relating to the meeting between Hitler and Mussolini on August 1939; a telegram from 29 April 1945 suing for peace; a telegram from 7 May 1945 regarding the signing of an unconditional surrender and two telegrams from 1946 concerning atomic bomb use from the Prime Minister of Canada, MacKenzie King.

This fonds consists of a photograph of the steamship Lintonia which plied the waters between Lakefield and Young's Point. There is also a ticket for the Empress in this fonds which was sister ship to the Lintonia.

This fonds consists of documents, from 1869 to 1902, including sale of timber receipts, deeds of land and quit claims of John E. Proctor of Brighton, Ontario.

This fonds consists of photographs of some of John Graves Simcoe's relatives. There is one photograph of "Aunt Ann Griffin" in front of a fireplace. There is one tintype of an unidentified elderly woman and another photograph of an unidentified elderly woman who was photographed by Ewing Photographer of Port Hope and Peterborough.

This fonds consists of a dedication program of Hart House at the University of Toronto on 11 November 1919. There is also a souvenir folder regarding the dedication of the Soldier's Tower with a colour etching of the Tower from 5 June 1924.

This fonds consists of a dedication program for the cenotaph honouring the heroes of the Great War (World War I) in Millbrook on June 23, 1921. There is also a photograph of the Millbrook Lacrosse Team of 1881 who were the Champions of Central Ontario. The photograph has a list of names affixed to the back of it.

This addition to the fonds consists of 10 letters (some fragments) written by Frances Stewart to her granddaughter and relatives in England, concerning her pioneer life in the Peterborough area. There is also one photograph of Harriet as young child which was photographed in London, England (biographical information is written on the back of the photograph).

This fonds consists of six photographs of "Blyth", the home of John Langton and his family. The photos were taken in 1911 and 1912. The home, which has since been demolished, was close to Fenelon Falls on Sturgeon Lake. The people in the photographs are not identified. Written on an envelope, included with the photographs, is "1911 & 1912. Old photos of "Blyth" Given to M. McCulloch by Mrs. [Frances] George Douglas."

Other records have information which refers to, or are from, Helen Margaret Buss, Philip Shirley, Scott Hutcheson, Angus Mowat, Al Purdy, William Ready, and the book "Poet Cop" by Hans Jewinski.

This fonds consists a photocopy of a manuscript written by de la Fosse describing his brief experience in the Canadian West. There is a short introduction by Sylvia Boorman as well as concluding remarks. Two pages are missing and are mentioned by Sylvia Boorman in her introductory letter which accompanies the manuscript. The introductory letter is dated July 5, 1990.
