There is reference made on the effect of repeal of British corn laws upon winter wheat culture in the township.

McKay, RobertThe fonds consists of photocopies of correspondence, petitions, drafts of same to be sent, letters received relating to Birdsall's efforts in organizing a volunteer militia in 1838, and relations regarding the 7th Provincial Battalion. The fonds also includes a few materials relating to surveying. The photocopied records date from 1837 to 1839.
Birdsall, RichardThis accession consists of one dictionary, of which the title page is missing. The oldest date pencilled in appears to be 1780. Signatures include Robert Stewart, William Reid, Mary Stewart, and John Stewart. The dictionary, referred to as "Old Noah" by the Reid family, was passed down through several generations of Reid family. It originated in Ireland, and was brought to Canada by Robert and Maria Reid.
Reid familyThis fonds consists of three items: a 12-page pamphlet entitled "Astronomy" by Professor C.A. Chant of the University of Toronto for use by Tuxis boys; a newspaper clipping from "The Globe" dated June 1, 1922, entitled "Spring Stars: Hydra, the Water Snake"; two photocopied pages from R.D. Lloyd's father's Tuxis Manual with the name L. Lloyd, date 1921, and the roster of the "Cree Tribe" at camp along with the "Cree yell".
Lloyd, R.D.This item is an account book of a business run by R. Waller which appears to be either carpentry or wagon-making. The book is dated June 1886 to June 1919.
Waller, R.Item consists of a bound volume of both published and handwritten pages. The published title page reads as follows: "Practical points, or, maxims in conveyancing, drawn from the daily experience of a very extensive practice, by a late eminent conveyancer, Mr. Bradley, to which are added, critical observations on the various and essential parts of a deed. By the Late J. Ritson, Esq, second edition, corrected, London, 1820." Several published pages are interspersed throughout the hand-written pages and are bound together with them. The name Chas. Avery Moore (May 1824) appears a few times near the beginning of the volume, as does the name W.H.I. Vizard. The hand-written pages are an excellent example of exemplary penmanship.

Parsons, Roy H.This accession consists of copy photographs, several of which are of originals in the Reid family photograph album and date from the 1840's to 1900's. One is of the Robert Henry "Harry" Devinish Reid family accompanied by an identification sheet with vital statistics for each member. Included also is a set of ten copy photographs of three generations of the Reid family. This set is accompanied by a family chart providing statistics for those listed.
