This fonds consists of a "School Exercise Book" which contains a handwritten biographical sketch of Miss Burgess' "First School", undoubtedly written to be read to the members of the Shakespeare Club at one of their monthly meetings. The 31 loose sheets consist of poems and verse written by Burgess over the years as inspiration or occasion presented.

Also included are two pieces of correspondence concerning a visit Cekota made to Trent University and the donation of the above paper to Trent University Archives.
Cekota, AnthonyFile consists of textual records about Joseph May living at the Orphan Homes of Scotland and descriptions about his travels from Scotland to Peterborough and Belleville areas, where he attended the Peterborough Normal School for teaching. Included is a photograph of boys on the steps of Fairknowe School in Brockville after Joseph arrived in Canada in 1926, and a photographic booklet of the Orphan Homes of Scotland (1926). Also included is a yearbook from the Peterborough Normal School (1944), a single page in his handwriting recording a timeline of his life events, and original documents containing a Certificate of Elementary Agriculture and Horticulture (1939) and Convocation programs (1954, 1960) from the University of Toronto.

This collection consists of 14 photograph negatives of Peterborough Normal School, undated, and portraying people and the grounds of the school. The negatives are enclosed in a J.J. Gilfillan, Orono, Ontario, photographer's envelope, with the name Calvin Hamm, Orono, Ontario written on it. Calvin Hamm was born on March 28, 1909 at Orono, son of Ernest Hamm and Florence Hughson. He was appointed Principal of the Morley Consolidated School at Stratton in September 1935 and received his B.A. at Western University in June 1943. He later taught high school in Fort Frances (taken from a typed information enclosure which accompanies the collection). Also included is a Peterborough Normal School Christmas Card, undated; a Peterborough Normal School Literary Society invitation, 1930; and a photograph of the "Floating Bridge, Bridgenorth, Chemong Lake, 1933."
Peterborough Normal SchoolThis fonds consists of one school class photograph, and negative, from S.S. #5 from 1900. The names of all the children and the teacher are listed on the back of the photograph. There is one photograph, and negative of Mr. and Mrs. J.C. Hope and which had belonged to Ross Comrie. There is also one photograph, and negative, of John, Hugh and Alexander McFee. There is family history written on the back of the photograph about each McFee and their families as well as where John McFee lived.
Comrie photographicThis fonds consists of the original diary of Margaret Jane Scott who attended Lindsay Model School and then Toronto Normal School before teaching in Omemee, Ontario. The diary covers the period of time Margaret spent in Toronto at Normal School. Also included in the fonds is a typescript copy of the diary which is bound and includes an introduction, photograph and a section entitled conversations with Ida Scott which was produced September 12, 1994.
Scott, MargaretThis photograph includes portraits of 66 male graduates and 62 female graduates of the 1912-13 Peterborough Business College graduating class. Also included in the photograph are portraits of six instructors and administrators.
