Discussed in the letter are the militia, the roads and other internal improvements, the land granting system, the state of education; the (projected) union of the two provinces and responsible government. Several uncritical pages are missing.

Twenty-three of the books chronicle the history of Arbor theatre and 2 relate to the youth theatre company Acorn. The collection was amassed by Ms. Elaine Goselin, longtime volunteer with Arbor. Goselin collected all play bills, donor and membership material, newspaper clippings, play reviews, biographies of performers and so forth. Arbor theatre Company was started in Peterborough Ontario in 1976. John Plank was the first Artistic director.

Toronto Daily NewsThis addition to the fonds consists of correspondence, interview tapes and drafts of manuscripts written by Scott Young such as Powerplay: The Memoirs of Hockey Czar Alan Eagleson and The Boys of Saturday Night. The fonds also includes interview tapes of Don Cherry, Ron Harrison, Bill Hewitt, and other hockey coaches, players and team owners. There is also an autographed copy of War on Ice; personal correspondence and greeting cards. We have copied out Scott's famous spaghetti sauce recipe (see note below).

This artificial collection was accumulated by Trent Archives and includes tape recordings found in other camping accessions. Also included are recordings of conference sessions and cassette tape recordings of sessions, addresses and keynote speeches given at the International Camping Congress held at Toronto, January 1983.

Arbor TheatreThis item is a photocopy of an 1870's recipe book entitled Five Hundred Dollars Worth of Knowledge for One Dollar: Great Exposure of Liquors and Recipe Book by Charles H. Hagar. The book was published in Binghampton, New York and contains recipes for alcoholic drinks and sundry other recipes for things such as hair tonic, sore throats, pain killers and others.
