Brown, John QuentinThis fonds consists of three small notebooks: Volume 1 containing information on duties and freight rates for beer and gin from approximately 1897; Volume 2 containing recipes for alcoholic beverages and Volume 3 containing recipes for assorted chemists' balms, perfumes, cleaning products and medicine.
This collection consists of two marriage certificates. One is a handwritten certificate documenting the marriage of Charles Luduc and Sarah Walton, officiated by Pastor Michael [Tunlin], and dated 21 January 1868 at Cobourg. The other is a standard printed certificate, dated 28 February 1880 in Peterborough, and documenting the marriage of William Storms and Emma Preston. There is one family name in common on the two documents: Preston.
Preston familyThis item is a loosely bound set of reports of the Cramahe and Haldimand Female Tract Society dealing with income and the distribution of tracts to "place divine truth before the minds of our fellow sinners." Cramahe and Haldimand Female Tract SocietyCollection consists of an audio cassette tape and transcript of an interview with William G. Towns of Douro, Ontario, conducted by Professor Alan Brunger on 27 October 1981. Also included is an audio cassette tape of an interview with William Telford of Smith Township, Ontario, on local recreation history, conducted by Elaine Boothman for Professor John Marsh's geography 334 course in October 1984.
Collection consists of Haldimand Township property documents dated 1863-1891. Subjects include Jay Ketchum, William Matthews, James Thomas Johnson, Archibald Campbell, Donald C. Matthews, William H. Haldimand TownshipThis collection consists of a reprint of E. (Elias) Burnham's address to electors in 1844; a Township of Otonabee Treasurer's report from 1877; and an address in support Liberal Candidate, Fraser, of Brighton, Ontario in 1926.
This fonds consists of five time books for men and material for boat and scow repairing at Lakefield, Ontario, and various places on the Trent Canal from 1889 to 1920.
The fonds consists of three copies of 8 X10 black and white photographs of William O. Mitchell used in Profiles in Canadian Literature (Dundurn Press).
Mitchell, William O.This fonds consists of black and white photographs of a men's work camp at Ragged Rapids, located near Orillia Ontario. There are also photographs are of Norwood, Birdsall's Landing, and Young's Point.
This fonds consists of an article entitled "Ice on Rice Lake" which was written in 1985 for the Trent Alumnus magazine. Also included is a photocopy of the September, 1858 issue of The Canadian Journal of Industry, Science and Art entitled "Ice Phenomena, from Observations on Rice Lake" by J.H. Dumble. An original copy of The Canadian Journal from June 1855 is included in the fonds. It has an article entitled "On the Action of Ice Upon the Bridge at Rice Lake" by T.C. Clarke and two copies of an article from the Arctic journal in 1992 entitled "J.B. Tyrell and D.H. Dumble on Lake Ice".

This collection consists of a copy of the pamphlet "Deed of Settlement of Pugets Sound Agricultural Society" [printed in 1912], a photocopy of pages of an article with the title "Exile in the Wilderness" by Jean Murray Cole, University of Washington Press, 1979, which refers to this Society, and a letter dated January 6, 1994 from Anne Morton to Hugh Anson-Cartwright with enclosures which establish the date of printing of the pamphlet as approximately 1912.
Puget Sound Agricultural SocietyFile includes correspondence written by camp director, Mrs. Pickles; also camp form letters, applications, etc.
Collection consists of printouts of digitized letters, photographs, and transcripts pertaining to the Prouse family of Little Britain, City of Kawartha Lakes (formerly part of Mairposa Township), Victoria County. Family names represented in the papers include: Margaret and John Prouse; Dennis Patrick Sears (1970s correspondence); Lawson Orser (1970s correspondence); Broad family members; Joseph Dix; and others. A printout of the "History of the Dix Family" (1 May 1897) by Joseph Dix is also included.
File contains a binder assembled by Alf Grigg relating to his time as a coordinator and supervisor for the city of Toronto Teen Leadership Camp. Within the binder are documents and letters from campers, staff and Griggs himself regarding their time at the Leadership Camp. Additionally, there are also photographs of the camp and campers from 1984, 1987 and 1988.
The photographs were taken by Mr. William Martyn who lives on Alexander Ave. in Peterborough, Ontario, next to the hospital. Over the years, whatever the weather, Mr. Martyn produced a complete chronicle of the building/demolition process. Many hours too, were spent arranging and compiling the photographs on the disks into a comprehensive slide show.
File includes a scenic panoramic titled "Camp Tanamakoon, Summer Camp for Girls, Operated by Miss Mary Hamilton, Algonquin Park Station, Ontario Can." (photographer: P.E. McDonald, ca. 1925). Also includes a photograph album dated 1925 containing approximately 75 photographs of Camp Tanamakoon. The photographs were taken or gathered by Sheila Playfair McGillivray, a senior camper in 1925; a few pertain to logging in Algonquin Park.

Also included are two small hand-drawn maps by George Douglas of Northcoate Farm, ca. 1909.
