    Biographical history

    Amy Cosh (1902-1967) was a Bobcaygeon librarian who requested that all Bobcaygeon men joining the Canadian Armed Forces in WWII send her their photograph. She assembled these in a scrapbook and added newspaper clippings containing any local information.

    Custodial history

    Collection was in the custody of Ruth Ewell before it was donated to Trent University Archives in 2005. The scrapbook was previously in the custody of the Bobcaygeon library.

    Scope and content

    Collection consists of a photograph album containing 188 photographs and newspaper clippings of soldiers from Bobcaygeon, Ontario who served in WWII. Also included is a booklet entitled "The Royal Canadian Legion, Bobcaygeon Branch 239, 1932-1992.

    Physical condition

    The scrapbook is very acidic and the photographs have been pasted in. Very fragile. Must be handled with care.
