The Cole theatre collection

This fonds consists of theatre programs and tickets primarily of the Peterborough Theatre Guild (1967-1990) plus a variety of programs of other Peterborough-based theatre clubs and organizations such as Arbor Theatre, PCVS Senior Dramatic Club, and the Peterborough Arts festival.

Fonds is arranged into two folders:

1: Peterborough Theatre Guild programs and tickets (1967 - 1990), plus a dinner and dance invitation and two personal greeting cards addressed to Jean and Alf Cole.

2: Publicity materials primarily in the form of programs of the Kawartha Summer Theatre, Peterborough Arts Festival, PCVS Senior Drama Club, Arbor Productions, Arbor Theatre, Canadian Images, Mackenzie Gallery, Peterborough District Guild of Arts & Crafts, Peterborough Symphony Orchestra, National Ballet of Canada, St. James Players, etc. (1967-1990).

Charles Vincent Massey collection

This collection consists of eleven published reports, addresses, and articles by the Honourable Vincent Massey. Topics include education, art and nationality, drama, external affairs, etc. with respect to Canada. Included also are typed notes compiled at a meeting at which Massey was present, on "Diplomatic Machinery", held in 1931.

This fonds consists of letters from F.A. Verner to C.J. Townsend relating to the disposition of his pictures and paintings. From the appearances in these papers, Verner's most-oft-painted subject was the Canadian bison.

This collection of small broadsides consists of a Grand Trunk flyer regarding the fares to the Buffalo Pan-American Exposition in 1901; an Orangeville Methodist Church broadside advertising a concert with Myrtel Tellessen Cooke from 1900; and a broadside for the King George Theatre in Cobourg, Ontario, advertising the film "Avenger" which aired before 1920.
