Tall Octavo. (26 cm x 17.4 cm), pp. [vi], 44, large folding map at rear, 38 photos, 22 plans, tables, original printed blue wrappers, stapled binding. Covers soiled with stains to bottom edge, chips at spine ends, p.44 soiled around margins, 7 cm horizontal closed tear at centre fore-edge of p.37/38, otherwise interior very clean and bright, map fine. Overall a very good copy of a scarce item. Not in Peel.

Octavo. Soft Cover. Pp. 39, Illustrated wrappers, sewn binding. Bold pencil signature across title-page of Antonio Perrault (1880-1955), an important Quebec lawyer, teacher and author. Both upper and lower cover detached but present, signatures a little loose but holding, spinestrip chipped, paper tanned around margins. Quite scarce. Louis Vauxcelles (1870-1945) was an influential French art critic. To him are attributed the terms Fauvism (1905), and Cubism (1908). [2693]

27 cm x 17.2 cm, unpaginated [30 pages + 9 pages with mounted (pasted-on) illustrations], a total of 13 illustrations (complete), all mounted. Original printed wrappers with yapp edges, two-holed ribbon binding and staples, illustration mounted to front cover. Yapp edges chipped with short tears, as usual, large chip missing from head of spine, otherwise a very good, clean and complete copy of a rare item. "The aim in this book has been simply to describe briefly the totems, and the legends connected with them. All these poles may be seen in the usual tourist visit to Southeastern Alaska . No totem is treated in this work which has not been ceremonially erected." - from the Conclusion.
