This item is a roll book for fires in and around Peterborough, Ontario, between 1886 and 1900, with names of fire-fighters, drill entries, dates and places of fires as well as false alarms.

This item is an account book of a business run by R. Waller which appears to be either carpentry or wagon-making. The book is dated June 1886 to June 1919.

This collection consists of memorabilia, magazine articles, correspondence and newspaper clippings relating to Ernest Thompson Seton.

Item is an advertisement for the Golden City steamer which operated between Lakefield, Ontario, and Mount Julian, and Katchawanooka, Clear, and Stony Lakes near the end of the 19th century.

Covers lightly soiled, chipping and minor cracking to spinestrip, small pieces missing at head & tail, 10.5 cm slit at front cover joint, lower front and rear corners missing. Contents very good and clean. This fonds consists of correspondence and reports relating to the National and Provincial Parks Association of Canada as well as the personal papers of Gavin Henderson. There are records on conservation, Quetico Park, the Niagara area such as the American Falls and information on Banff and Jasper National Parks. Included in the fonds is the thesis of George Warecki entitled "Protecting Ontario's Wilderness: A History of Wilderness Conservation in Ontario." Also included in the fonds are various publications on wilderness, outdoor recreation, conservation and naturalist activities. There are also four scrapbooks which contain clippings regarding conservation, parks and the 1972 winter olympics.

The fonds consists of a handwritten copy of the Engineer's (Mr. Tom S. Rubidge) report on the prospects for the development of the Trent Canal as an industrial navigation system linking Lakes Huron (through Georgian Bay) and Ontario. The fonds also includes comments on the state of repair of the existing locks, amount of work needed and estimated costs.
