File contains images and audiotapes pertaining to the career of James Armstrong, member of the RCMP, while stationed at Alexandria Fjord, Ellesmere Island, Northwest Territories (now Nunavut) between 1958 and 1961. Included are two items created in 2015: one compact disc of 14 audio mp3 files titled “Alexander Fjord” (containing recollections of James Armstrong); and, one flash drive of copies of images taken from 1433 slides of Alexander Fjord (included are images of nine Inuit families of Alexander Fjord that were under the supervision of Armstrong; images of Armstrong himself; northern airplanes; northern scenery, etc.).
File consists of textual records about Joseph May living at the Orphan Homes of Scotland and descriptions of his travels from Scotland to Peterborough and Belleville areas, where he attended the Peterborough Normal School for teaching. Included is a photograph of boys on the steps of Fairknowe School in Brockville after Joseph arrived in Canada in 1926, and a photographic booklet of the Orphan Homes of Scotland (1926). Also included is a yearbook from the Peterborough Normal School (1944), a single page in his handwriting recording a timeline of his life events, and original documents containing a Certificate of Elementary Agriculture and Horticulture (1939) and Convocation programs (1954, 1960) from the University of Toronto.

File includes 17 photographs of archaeological sites in Greece, some identified as Monemvasia, believed to have been taken by Blake while accompanying archaeologist Gilbert Bagnani on a dig in 1923. Also included are 21 photographs of medieval and 16th-17th century French streets and houses; it is probable that these relate to Blake’s own research or to that of Gilbert Bagnani.

File consists of 5 warrants of distress from Northumberland and Durham (Hamilton Township). One warrant from 1857 uses the name District of Newcastle to refer to the same region. Warrants are for two men, Oliver Stanton (3 warrants) and Thomas Johnson (2 warrants). The warrants all follow the same formal, legalistic style, outlining the debtor, the amount owed, and authorizing the sheriff to seize property up to that value. The verso of each warrant contains a summary of the person charged, amount owed and paid, and date(s).
Collection is comprised of approximately 4200 slides of photographs pertaining primarily to the Canadian and Greenland Arctic. The photographs were taken during the 1970s to 1990s by Roger Buxton and are identified and dated. Also included are aerial views of Trent University (14 September 1985), photographs of the aftermath of the Barrie, Ontario tornado (31 May 1985), and photographs of family and scenic landscapes.

Massey, Charles VincentCollection consists of six registers maintained by the Mather Funeral Home, Keene, Ontario. Volume 1 (1880-1903) was strictly a funeral register. Volume 2 (1910-1928) consists of a day book for a cabinet maker and carriage maker who also handled funerals by providing caskets, embalming services, wreaths, shrouds and so forth. Remaining registers recorded funerals only. The registers record names of deceased, age, cause of death and where buried.
Mather Funeral HomeThis collection consists of a number of articles written by Norman McBain about families in Cavan and about topics of interest in the Cavan area, i.e. inns, taxes, schools, etc. It also includes the following: an article by E.S. Clarry on an 1821 petition to the King regarding voting rights; a bylaw re taverns; the history of Fairmount Church and Methodist givings; an 1896 ballot for Cavan officers; a clipping re George Berry; a list of Overseers of Highways, fence viewers, etc.; an audited financial statement of Cavan for 1875; a newspaper report of Cavan Council business; an invoice re sidewalks; notes on Cavan town hall; and several pages of original hand-written notes re persons holding various offices in Cavan. Also included are copies of clippings re Cavan Blazers, school graduation results, etc.
McBain, Norman R.Collection consists of 9 audio cassette records of individuals reminiscing about Leslie Frost and his brothers Cecil and Grenville. Tapes were made in 1984 and individuals interviewed include: William Davis, Richard Gorwill, Hugh Latimer, Clare Westcott, Alf Cole, Roland Michener, and Marjorie Porter. there are transcripts available. Also included in the collection is an illustrated paper presented by Brian McFadzen, 2006, entitled "The Frost Brothers in Lindsay." Also included is a CD of photographs reproduced from a Frost scrapbook and showing their homes and offices in Lindsay Ontario and also showing portraits of the Frost brothers.
McFadzen, Brian MarshThis fonds contains two ledgers. One ledger apparently belonged to a person or business in the Port Hope area. The other ledger deals with a sale by Mrs. Brock and Mrs. Davy's from 31 March 1925.
This collection consists of assorted documents relating to Cobourg and vicinity. Cantello, GeraldThis collection consists of a ledger dated 1880-1905 created by Robert Henry Reid which records transactions for goods sold or services exchanged for goods. The merchandise involved appears to be that of a general store or farm supply depot. Also included is a journal (and typescript) created by Frederick Reid describing his move west from Ontario to Edmonton between 1907 and 1909. A biographical note about Fred by his son is included at the end. Collection also includes a letter to Harold A. Reid from Florence Reid and two copy photographs: one of Fred and Louise Reid, 1949 and one of the school house which Frederick Reid attended, 1946.
