This fonds consists of research materials collected by Professor Ross Irwin for his book on Mariposa Township, Victoria County. Material added August 1992 includes a copy of Mariposa: The Banner Township and a series of 8 scrapbooks created by Mrs. Alex McIntyre of Oakwood, Ontario and donated via Professor Irwin. Additions of 1994 include slides of Lindsay, Ontario and other scenes in Victoria County taken in approximately the 1960s. Additions of 2002 include 2 notebooks of Robert Irwin, Cambray. Additions of 2010 include studio portraits of ancestral family members. Additions of 2012 include items related to the history of the Wakelin family and a scribbler with house-building notes.

The fonds consists of general correspondence, editorial correspondence, financial and administrative records, editorial records, promotional records, and records of Denis Smith as editor of the Canadian Forum. Also included are photographs and original artworks as well as typescripts of articles, poetry, and short stories.

Fonds is comprised of published and unpublished books, plays, short stories, articles, and essays written by Professor Peter Royle. Included are hard copy manuscripts and notes, as well as several digital files.

Collection consists of 12 leather-bound volumes of the plays of William Shakespeare, with "Thos. A. Stewart" bookplates glued on the inside cover of each volume. The volumes are numbered I through XII. Volume XII includes the following bibliographic information: "The Plays of William Shakespeare, from the correct edition of Isaac Reed, Esq., London, Printed for Vernor, Hood and Sharpe, Poultry; and Taylor and Hessey, Fleet Street. 1809." On the final page of each volume, except for Volumes I and II, the following additional information appears: "Stereotyped and printed by A. Wilson, Duke Street, Lincoln's-Inn Fields, London." On the final page of Vol. I, the following information appears: "Stereotyped by Andrew Wilson." Vol. I has the following additional names hand-written on the bookplate: "George A. Stewart", "Louis B. Stewart", and "[B] [ ] Stewart". Volumes III, VI, and VIII have "George A. Stewart" added to the bookplate. Handwritten on the bookplate for Vol. IV is "Thos. A. Stewart"; this may be Stewart's signature.

This item is a corrected carbon text of Peterborough's Architectural Heritage edited by Martha Kidd and published in 1978.

Peterborough's Architectural Heritage was written by Martha Ann Kidd and published by the Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee in 1978. The Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee was established through a by-law made by the City of Peterborough after the Ontario Heritage Act of 1974 was passed by the Province of Ontario. Committee members consisted of Victor Barry, Edgar J. Boland, Teresa Bradburn, Eric V. Jackson, Martha A. Kidd, J.J. Overvliet, Eldon P. Ray, Jennie Spurway, Margaret Fleming and Betty Ross. The committee developed a number of guidelines for its activities and set out to compile a list of pre-1890 structures within the boundaries set by the Otonabee River, Parkhill Road, Park Street and Townsend Street. The list consists of photographs of the buildings and text containing information about the buildings architectural style and information about most of the homeowners. The list was compiled in order to aid Peterborough City Council in determining whether a permit for drastic exterior alteration or demolition should be issued for any of the properties. This addition to the fonds consists of materials relating to F.M. de la Fosse which includes research notes compiled by Fern Rahmel, a taped lecture by Rahmel and miscellaneous correspondence as well as an annotated manuscript for Young Bloods by F.M. de la Fosse.

This item is a typescript of an address to the Fortnightly Club by Ralph C. Honey, describing the production of the Centennial book, "Peterborough: Land of Shining Waters." The address was written March 14, 1967.

Fonds consists of correspondence, photographs, computer tapes, newspaper clippings, speeches, articles, notes, research materials, certificates, name tags, educational records, and employment records pertaining to the life of Don Tapscott both while a student and during his working career.

This accession consists of four books. The first book, The Holy Bible, is a pulpit bible printed by John Baskerville [c.1750], and includes the dedication to King James 1 and the Apocrypha. Handwritten family records, from Thomas A. Stewart's father down through several generations, appear on the inside of the front cover and at the beginning of the New Testament. Included with the bible is a description and history of the book, as provided by Reverend John Shearman. The second book is a "Commonplace" book. The notebook inscribed "Frances Browne, 1811", reflects Frances Stewart's taste in verse and sayings and is handwritten except for a few clippings inter-leaved. A photocopy of the "Commonplace" book is also included.

Two additional books were added in 2004. The first of these is Frances Browne's music book, 1811, and consists of sheet music bound together inside a leather cover; the inscription on the cover reads "Miss F. Browne, 1811." The second of these is Church of England, Book of Common Prayer and Administration of the Sacraments..., [170-]; the title page is missing.

Fonds consists of manuscript copies, correspondence, newspaper clippings, research materials, and notes related to the English translation by Professors Dawn and Denis Smith of the 1998 edition of El Ultimo dia de Salvador Allende by Oscar Soto. The English title is The Last Day of Salvador Allende: a Chronicle of the Assault on La Moneda Palace, Santiago de Chile.
