Series consists of books, periodicals, reports, brochures, and published and unpublished papers relating to labour history in Canada and the United States. Topics covered include the North American Free Trade Agreement, unemployment insurance, workplace safety, social issues (e.g., homelessness; food insecurity), and provincial and federal legislation (e.g., Bill C-12; Bill C-11; Bill C-23). Collective agreements in Peterborough and Ontario are well represented through several pocket-sized volumes. Unions include United Packinghouse Food Allied Workers of America, Shoeworker’s Union, Textile Workers Union of America, Canadian Labour Congress Federal Union, and Amalgamated Silver, Jewelry and Allied Workers' Union. Companies include Quaker Oats Company, Bata Shoe Company, Huyck Corporation, Canadian Coleman Company, and Benedict-Proctor Manufacturing Co. Limited.
