History

Norbert Erasmus Hyacinth Krommer was born in Latvia in 1930 and lived in Lindsay, Ontario. He had two brothers, Sven Krommer (of Austria) and Ivo Krommer. Krommer was a long-time collector of postcards and was a member of the Royal Philatelic Society of Canada, the International Philatelic Society of Joint Stamp Issues Collector, and the Monarchist League of Canada. It appears that he may also have been a member of the Meter Stamp Society and the British North America Philatelic Society although this is not confirmed. Krommer died in Lindsay in 2013 at the age of 83 (information taken in part from the obitsforlife.com website, 9 December 2015).
