This addition to the fonds consists of interviews with prominent NDP and labour activists recalling the 1960 by-election in Peterborough, and the early history of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) and the New Democratic Party (NDP) in the riding. As well there are related transcripts; newspaper articles and correspondence.

There are records on conservation, Quetico Park, the Niagara area such as the American Falls and information on Banff and Jasper National Parks. Included in the fonds is the thesis of George Warecki entitled "Protecting Ontario's Wilderness: A History of Wilderness Conservation in Ontario." Cameron who was commissioned by the Department of the Secretary of State (superseded by the Department of Canadian Heritage) to investigate the status of Canadian Studies in the 1990s. His report, "Taking Stock: Canadian Studies in the Nineties" was published by the Association of Canadian Studies in 1996. Materials include readers' comments on the draft report.
